Hey!
No I haven't. I'm running the stock wheels/tires that came with my Sahara which are like 33 or something. I never went for anything bigger as I drive 99% more highway than I off-road.
Because I never get tired of posting this (MY) video...
My only solution was to have the stock stabilizer welded into place on the track bar. Weld points were put on the track bar so the stabilizer could not ever shift...
The previous fix was to undo and retighten the stabilizer in place...
I have a Thinkware U1000 dual setup - with x2 Cellink Neo battery packs installed in the cab of the Jeep out of sight.
So - When the Jeep is powered on it recharges the battery packs and powered the cameras. When the Jeep is turned off I get 48hrs of constant parking recording when both...
I'll throw in when my DW would happen - every single time without fail - and when it wouldn't.
SPEED - minimum speed - 90/kmh | 55MPH and higher
So I was fine in cities. Highways were the issue.
BUMPS - The bump HAD TO BE ASYMMETRICAL.
Think of it this way. You're on the highway and coming...
Just going to chime in. 20 Sahara, stock wheels and tires. Everything else was upgraded - but everything was fine for a year. then went to DW hell
I'm going to tell you how I keep my Jeep driving.
***And I understand this is not the way to do this - but I just want to drive and no one I know...
Just wanted to put a final update.
In the settings for FCW you can set to OFF / WARNING BEEP ONLY / WARNING BEEP AND BRAKING
My ASS still hadn't been working with it all set to OFF.
So yesterday I set it to WARNING BEEP ONLY.
ASS started working. I enabled it - turned the Jeep off, then back...
I'd be fine without ASS - it's just that since you can then still disable it using the button - makes me think it shouldn't happen... and that the battery will then refuse to say it's charged... it's bizarre.
And maybe it's just my Jeep.
Just thinking out loud...
I'll need to see if my...
Ok.
I have a 2020JL with the large screen and all the safety packages. The dual battery setup. Auto Start/Stop (ASS)
I drive the JL a fair amount. Maybe not every day but almost. Since day 1 Auto Start/Stop just always works. I once didn't drive for 4 weeks (vacation/quarantine) and after a 90...
HI everyone...
The shop was able to fix the DW.
Give me a few days...
I've verified it's fixed - and I just want to get a few photos of what they did to resolve it... As well as the explanation from the guy that runs the shop so that it might make sense to those of you who know your stuff...
adjustable track bar was done with the suspension a year ago…
i have some posts in the updated steering TSB thread with photos of my alignment results 8 months ago…
originally caster was 2.5 but I then had it changed to about 6 on recommendation of people with regards to loose steering.
I did...
Had the black screen last night.
Was in a hurry so remote started my Jeep. Once I got in and pressed the ignition - because the Jeep was warm I shifted right into reverse (which I've never done that fast before) and the reverse camera was black.
Didn't come back over multiple restarts over a...
Thanks that actually answers something fo me... Which is can you drive it if the drag link bolt isn't completely tightened - so much easier...
Appreciate it.
Thank you for this. I didn't know it was that easy.
I didn't have a second person, but I will later today and try again.
I got under there, loosened the 15mm bolt, and turned the sleeve a about a full rotation - in 1/4 increments - - getting up and checking the wheel after every 1/4 turn but I...
Fantastic - thank you for taking the time top post this.
Yes stock trackbar.
Honestly this goes well with my thinking... I've actually been thinking of getting ride of the stock parts and just going all aftermarket so that I can get away from the dealer.
And what you mentioned about the...
Thanks for the post. It's frustrating that the dealer puts in a new steering gear - then - the alignment goes out and they say well that's because of the death wobble - which is caused by aftermarket parts - so we will not do an alignment for you now.
appreciate the post
I'm kind of willing to...
The dealer has says they have identified the problem.
They say it's the left control arm, where it connects to the body the bushing has some play in it so it cannot be tightened fully. As this is an aftermarket part, they cannot warranty it.
I asked for a written report that I can show the...
