Right or wrong, you’ll need to have thicker skin if you want help here. Nothing personal just the nature of the beast.
For at least some, a thick skin, or lack of, has nothing to do with it. There are posters who come to the forum with a problem but don't have time or patience for nonsense, crap, or just plain rudeness. Then there are the posters who come to the forum to provide the nonsense, crap, and just plain rudeness.

I’m here to provide both. I try to live a balanced life. Like everyone else you are free to do what you want with no judgement from me. On the flip side you are free to judge whomever you choose.

My Sirius XM was great everywhere except the mountains. I would sometimes lose signal briefly. I never lost FM radio, old school, my go to. :like:

Por que no los dos.

And to be fair in this case the OP never directly answered whether or not they had an issue with XM or FM/AM and dismissed the fact there is a 2nd antenna early on in the thread. When you dont want to be helped you invite a little criticism.

As I phrased it, and see it, both are towards the extreme and should be avoided. The balance Terrymo prefers is likely the discretion I strive for, but often come up short. There is a time and place for almost everything (rudeness is obviously never a good fit).

While I think this thread is a good example, I don't have the time or patience to dissect it here and now. Self-reflection does not need to be verbalized.

And I think YoKramer's remark, that the OP didn't want help, is off target. The OP wanted help along the lines he wrongly thought applicable to the problem he mis-diagnosed. Of course, none of "us" would ever do something that dumb.

You provide a ton of great info here. This forum is just a microcosm of the world where everyone has to learn to get along. I like your humorous posts as much as your technical posts. Maybe I misread the OPs words that sounded like I’m going to take my ball and go home because someone was mean to me. There’s a 100 page thread here of people mocking me about beer lies. I cried softly into my pillow for a few nights and somehow persevered.

I know I would answer a direct question about what type of radio Im having an issue with.

And if you cant comment on negative things then how are you going to get them corrected?

Don't feel bad my friend, I have to wear a dress and get a pedicure. Can it really get any worse? 😭

To me this is nothing compared to what I've seen. For example, I posted a happy 4th of July thread that got shut down and someone got banned. Why? Some people don't like fireworks or the US flag I don't know.🤷‍♂️

My experience is that most drivers from New Jersey suck...regardless of the vehicle they drive.

Looks like you're the one with issues...just meeting force with force. With no respect intended, GFY, I have enough friends.
