I know this thread is a bit old but we just joined the forum and wanted to answer your questions in case other members come across this thread.

You do not need to fold down the windshield to install our shade. We include custom fabricated windshield clips specifically designed to slide on to the sheet metal that forms the front edge of the windshield frame. These clips are part of the 4 front bungees which keep our shade taut. See pic below.

Do the bungees scratch the roll bar paint?

So, @AlienSunshade , from your pic above, I can see how the clips could be slid into place with the windshield up. Can the shade also be easily removed with the windshield up? Looking for a good product that can easily be installed/uninstalled without moving windshield.

@AlienSunshade I just received a front-two seat shade in the mail for a JLU, and cannot find any clips in the shipping materials. I have all the bungies, a sealed bad with the 4 t-bars and pull-strap but no clips. Am I missing something?

Sounds like they may not have been included for some reason. We will get some sent out to you right away if that's the case!

PM coming your way.

Is there any flapping with this sunshade ? I am torn between this and the jtops, but like this better. @AlienSunshade can you comment on the flapping at speed ?

@karynm8621 has you covered in the comment above.

But yeah, we've driven our shades at highway speeds and beyond. There's obviously going to be some movement once you get into the speeds that start with a 7 or 8 but if you're picturing a flag in the wind, ours isn't like that. The bungees keep the shade nice and taut.
