Has anyone seen or installed the Mopar sun bonnet? Deciding between that and a Spiderweb Shade. Would like to hear more about the Mopar shade since it is about $70 cheaper before deciding. Thanks in advance!

I am sure there are other sunshades coming for the JL (from J Tops USA, Ridges, Bestop, etc.), but here are the ones I've found for the JL's so far.

What I did not like about Spiderweb, was that you need to drop the windshield every time you want to add or remove the sunshade. Alien and Mojojeep have both confirmed that no windshield drop down was needed. Not sure if there is an advantage or disadvantage to either style.

I am watching this closely.

I am not sure any shade will meet all my requirements but I am looking for the right one:

- Has to be easily removable - no dropping the windshield to install
- Want the option to just cover the front or both front and back
- Stay installed under the Premium soft top
- No flapping

The SpyderwebShade has a great reputation but I don't like the way it is implemented for the JL. I also don't like the slit in the top. So I am watching closely for alternatives. Please post whatever you find!

I'm pretty sure this is exactly what alien sun shade is developing.

The Spiderwebshade is awesome. No flapping around at all. The only thing I wish was an easier way to take the front top panels off and put back on. Other than that, love it and don’t see why I would take it off.

When I put a shade on my JK I thought I’d take it off a lot, but wound up never doing it, as it didn’t affect the open air feel at all, at least with doors off or half doors, no windows etc. When I had my full doors on it did feel a little claustrophobic in there with the shade (almost like a roof - shudder) so I generally didn’t do that.

Looks like the Mopar will cover over the rollbars and provide complete coverage where as the Spiderweb has gaps between the shade and roll bars. I like that Mopar....
