Unfortunately there aren’t many shops around here and like I said most winches I found online are coming from the states. I’m still searching around to see if I can find something local and so far there might be one place that has a 12k warn evo winch
BTW (and some on this forum will throw a fit about what I'm going to say) don't get hung up on Warn. The ONLY Warn made in the US is the Zeon series and Warn is charging stupid money for them. The Evo is made in China just like every other winch out there. Even SuperWinch (which I use) is now made in China where they used to be made in the US.

Plus make sure to get synthetic rope and not steel cable. Your Jeep is already heavy enough without adding the weight of steel cable to it :)

The only winch I could find is an evo (again Canadians have no options sigh) but it is synthetic cable I did confirm that. Hoping to get to the shop this week to pick it up. Sadly everything else I found is not available locally 😔

Hi everyone, I’m still pretty new and was going to get a winch installed. Does anyone know if this would work on a 2024 4xe Rubicon? If not why and what should I be looking for?
That is the same one, I believe, that came on my 2024 Rubicon X 4Xe

Is it the 8k winch or were you able to at least find a 10k one?

I agree. In hindsight I should have just gotten a Harbor Freight winch and saved a few hundred bucks. Especially considering I've used it exactly 0 times. Admittedly I got hung up on having the pretty red W logo.

Oh, don't get me wrong... I love that pretty red W... lol. But at $1500 it isn't as pretty :)

We can all talk about value, made in USA, whatever. I see Warn as trying to stay in the game and good for them. I bought Warn for a few reasons. Reputation and an American company. I went with Zeon to hopefully help the brand and their roots.

It’s the 12k warn evo synthetic cable
Smittybilt X2O GEN3 12K Winch with Synthetic Rope - 98812 (justjeeps.com)

i have been using this for 2 years. Solid winch and I love the remote controller. Synthetic line, very capable motor, 12000lb rated and most importantly for canadians - IP67 fully water proof and immersible. I am in BC and park outside a lot.. its literally been rained on week over week and still works like a champ.. no rust or any sign of wear.

I have a 4xe, im from BC and my rig is not a mall crawler. I have winched myself or someone else out using this winch about 8 times so far.

I had a bad experience with Shittybilt. Got the X2O 10k installed it and almost gave myself a hernia trying to unspool it. Figured it was a bad unit so I got it replaced and the second one was the same way. I'm talking almost impossible to unspool. That was the end of anything Shittybilt for me :)
