i havent gotten my jeep yet but when i do feel the need for upsize in tires im thinking im going to go with the 74weld portals and 40s. the portals give about a 3.5 inch lift at the axle and a 22% underdrive so affective a regear (takes 4.10 and makes them 5.00 )

I don't regret 37" tires, but if I were to do it over again I think I would go straight to what my next set up will be. The same 2.5" Gamechanger lift, gutting the stock fenders, and adding a set of AAL inner fenders; then going with a set of 39" KM3s. The 392 with 4.56 gears would have plenty of power to turn them without regearing.

No regrets. Rubi axles and 8AT were made for 37s. Was annoyed enough living in the mountains to regear to 4.88. YMMV.

Decent deal on KO2s so I’m throwing 37s on my 392 XR this week for Xmas.

Are you running 2.5 inch lift with aluminum steering, fox ats and the Jks trackbar? If so how are you not having contact issues underneath I’ve seen aluminum really only work on 3.5 and higher. Other than the aluminum steering that’s my exact setup on 2.5 lift and everythings tight as it is I couldn’t imagine thicker TR & DL.
I'm running a 3" lift (actually netted 3.5"), so there's enough room for everything. No issues yet with the location of the Fox ATS, but there's not a ton of room to spare. It may help too that the Rusty's TR/DL dimensions are slightly smaller than the RPM/Apex 2" kits.

No regrets.

I think I've passed you before. Reign on a 392 is a rare sight so it definitely caught my attention. I'd be amazed if there's another one in the area like yours. Gorgeous spec ?

Gotta thank @wibornz for sending me down the rabbit hole on the Rancho 2 -3.5 lift. I haven’t seen any cons to this lift. Even with adding geo brackets and a trackbar it come in cheaper than the aev. Might even be able to convince the wife to do the re gear with the savings.
Thanks again!
Same here  … Riding on 35s right now but will go 37s when I need to get a new set of tires. I got the 2ā€ Lift with the RS9000 and geo bracket for just $757 from Northridge 4X4 when they had sale and discount for spending over a certain amount.

I've got 39's on 3.73's on our sahara 4xe and it wants for nothing in terms of torque or HP. Still pulls like a freight train, and has way more get up and go than my 3.6 JT with 5.13's on 37's. Personally would not spend my money on a re-gear for the 4xe as it just doesnt need it IMO.
Until the juice is gone.

I somewhat regret going 37s. That's only because the Jeep drives like crap now. I installed a Clayton Overland+ 2.5" and 37" Wildpeak AT3Ws on Icon Rebound rims. I get a lot of shimmy in the steering wheel and I've spend well over $1000 on alignments and troubleshooting for everyone to just come back and say, "it looks good, pay us!" or "your Jeep drives better than mine!"

If I could actually get the thing to drive well and the steering wheel to stop shaking like Shakira's hips, I would love my Jeep again, just like I loved it stock.

I just ordered the adjustable Fox Race steering stabilizer, installing it this weekend. Hoping that helps resolve my issue. I really think it's a bad tire/rim pairing but I cannot find anyone to trade me 37s for a day to confirm and I'm sure the heck not rich to just go out and spend $4000 on new rims and tires just to troubleshoot something.
May want to check into having tires trued.
Realized that you'll loose a little tread, but will ride as good as the tire can.
Unless you have a defective tire? Any tire have excessive weights to balance? If so, maybe break tire from rim , rotate on rim and rebalance. Should have been mounted/balanced that way from start, but not every tire shop takes the time to mount with least amount of weight.

Thank you! I think there are 150 purple 392 XRs running around. Reign pairs well with the bronze accents.

Stock suspension?
Negative. Clayton performance springs, 1ā€ front pucks to counteract the winch, Falcon 3.1 shocks and 2.1 steering stab, Hellwig rear swaybar, and longer MOPAR front LCAs.

Went for more of a pavement Princess build, but now it’s almost as capable as the two door. Thinking about wheeling her more. Maybe Artec or Asfir aluminum skids.

Hereā€˜s a comparison with another XR on stock suspension and 35s.

Until the juice is gone.
The juice is never gone, its a HYBRID, it always keeps the battery charged via the engine and the brakes. The Electric kicks in when demand is required, then charges off the engine like your 12v when its not needed or when you hit the brakes. You can literally NEVER plug in the 4xe and it will still have 375 hp and 470 ftlbs of torque because it doesnt let the battery go flat.

I would say they all have excessive weight to balance. But I don’t know what defines ā€œexcessiveā€ in the large tire Jeep world. I remember on sedans, like 1 or 2 small weights be my wheels…..I’ve never seen weights stacked before.
