Well actually any motor with that type of programming not just turbos.
Is there actually a fuel sensor on the 2.0 (or 3.6)? I assumed it was just a knock sensor.

If it is just a knock sensor and the 2.0 doesn't ping with 87, performance should be the same.

straight from Jeep. The 2.0T engine runs on 87 octane, but Jeeprecommends 91 for optimal performance and efficiency.

Do you know of any vehicles that have a fuel sensor to detect octane?

Correct, it’s a knock sensor like every other engine. So it’ll just pull timing to avoid pre-ignition as needed.
