The Three hoods in question are:

US Market Sport and Sahara, US Market Rubicon

Euro Market

Because FCA would want $100,000 for a Wrangler with a Hemi. Mopar is phasing out the HellCat Hemi and will be replacing with the Demon Hemi.

It’s called CAFE and emissions standards.

I wouldn’t doubt there are penalties built into the price of every Wrangler already for falling below certain fuel economy benchmarks and emissions output.

A number of customers would LOVE it, but they are waaay outnumbered by FCA lawyers.

Not to mention that V8’s in general will probably very slowly be getting phased out in any vehicle that doesn’t absolutely require it (anything that’s not a full-size truck).

Which is why we now have ESS and the eTorque coming out next model year. I’ve been told (but not verified) that Jeep will be paying one of the highest emission standard penalties in history this year.
