3.6 Performance Chip installed??

I had one on my JKR Recon and WOW, was a difference it made. But bought it used and it came with the chip.

Just took delivery of my 2023 3.6 JLR. What performance chip is any using?

I don't know if I trust those... especially since the 'parts lookup' doesn't change, and the 'cheap' option is sold out, 'mid tier' is on backorder, but the 'top tier' is in stock and ready to ship...

I do not know what Chip the guy installed in my JKR, granted he did other things like Borla Dual Exhaust and a CAI (dubious of the CAI). But Jeep ran like a banshee. He was a Go Fast guy, and he traded it in on a 392 ER. He was an older rich guy who lived in high end Miami part of the year.

I don't want to say this is a scam, but....I cant find a better word for it.

There are legit tuning options for your Jeep, look into Superchips for a good selection

Superchips does not seem to offer anything for the V6 engine

I just realized you have a 23, not much available there yet, but we are in development of the 23 3.6 tunes.
As for the link you posted, again, I would not recommend that to an enemy. Its not going to do anything meaningful.

Ok, is there a difference between the 2023 wrangler and earlier versions???

It might be 100% identical hardware, but there are always new calibrations for the PCM (and often TCM). We're confident the tunes we have developed for 22 will also just work in a 23, but we don't let our confidence get in the way of processes and procedures, and we'll bring one in to thoroughly test in house before we release anything.

That unlocks and gives you access to the code in the PCM. That is the last place ever want to touch unless you write machine code and understand what you are doing....I am a retired Software Engineer and would never give any access at that level.

How are you expecting to tune? As far as I know chip tuning haven't been relevant since OBD1, and piggybacks don't exist for the 3.6.

Flash tuning is the standard. Its the same process the dealer uses to apply updates to the pcm.

Would like to duplicate the performance I had in my JKR I just traded in on my JLR. Of course the Borla dual exhaust was a big benefit and may have even by the biggest boost???
