Would like to duplicate the performance I had in my JKR I just traded in on my JLR. Of course the Borla dual exhaust was a big benefit and may have even by the biggest boost???
A 3.6 JL should perform as well as any 3.6 or 3.8 JK? An exhaust wont add anything on the order of the gains you can get from tuning.

That Jeep was FAST and I know FAST. Driving Jeeps since the 65 and Corvettes since 64. My JK was a very FAST and quick car. The Jeep dealer, who did the work, said it was chipped, CAI and Borla Dual exhaust, this was not a couple of add on pipes behind the sideways muffler, from engine back.

What I am failing to understand is your comments>. Chips don't work, exhaust don't work???

The most likely difference would be gearing. If the JK had 4.10s and your JL has something like a 3.21, I can see how you might feel that way.

Chip is a generic term anymore. No vehicle has taken a 'chip' for about 20 years now. Anything sold as a 'chip' these days is generally a scam product, similar to the 2 links you posted here earlier. Legit performance improvements can be made through flash tuning or properly developed inline devices like our Pulsar.

Exhaust improvements on a V6 JK or JL are going to offer minimal gains in power or performance. The 2.0T may see some performance benefit from a catback if it removes some post turbo restriction.

Thanks

I’ve tried a couple on my 2019 JLU and settled on a Jeep Wrangler performance chip from Monte Tuning. Noticeable gains in throttle response and smoother shifts. I was skeptical at first, but it really brought the 3.6L to life, especially with a cold air intake.

Any idea how it works? it does not seem to flash the PCM. What does it connect to? They don't even list 2019 3.6 as an option on their website for some reason...
