You be you. I’ll take my 3.6L eTorque everyday all day and can’t wait to get rid of my 2.0L. You might want to check why your 3.6L is only getting 12 mpg. My 3.6L in a JLUR with a lot of aftermarket weight and 37” tires averages 17 mpg.
You shittin’ me, Zach? In FL, I’m at 80-85, traffic permitting, when I get on an interstate. All the time. Anything slower, and you are a traffic hazard to all of the other fools doing 80-90 MPH. It’s the NE folks who drive slower, not the SE. Tourist season brings the slow drivers down here.

We have two JLUs, a Sahara 3.6 eTorque, and my JLUR 2.0T. At those speeds, MPGs are about the same, even though the JLUR is on 35 hybrid MTs and the Sahara is on 34 ATs.

Ok I know you asked me not too say yet but this is pretty big news. Remorseless is going to be on Americas Got Talent and he’s been practicing a trick that’s a pretty sure win with 3 regular beer bottles. But he really wants me to send 3 40s of 0ldE because he‘s sure to really impress the judges. That’s why he’s so relentless about the beer thing. Here’s the short video teaser he sent me.

Your location is ancient Egypt, which seems middle Eastern to me? But maybe you're just a slow driving westerner. I assumed anyone who doesn't regularly see 80+ doesn't live out west.
MPG is based more on average speed than top speed. You are suggesting that you average 85 mph.

Our AZ property is 600 miles from the house and we make the drive every 4-6 weeks. Outside of that the JT rarely gets driven so yes it averages 80+ mph. The wife's commute is only 17 miles but it's all country highway with ~14 stop signs each way. 0-65-0-65...results in the same ~13mpg as pushing 85 on the freeway. Again I don't care what others do or average with their use. We've owned both the 2.0t and the 3.6L and put a bunch of miles on them so for my use the 2.0t was more fun to drive and averaged 25-30% better fuel economy.

I see. Mpg stats for a scenario that doesn't match any other Jeep user....

Nobody else roadtrips? Weird because every time I'm in moab you see nothing but out of state plates aside from the rentals? How does they get there? Cruise 65mph on an 80mph freeway? Nobody else drives country roads with 65mph sites limits but stop signs every mile? And the OP didn't say "if you quit using your Jeep how you use it, which engine would you choose"? Why would your driving habits or resultant mpg sway MY decision?

Like the v6 guys claiming 25+mpg that dont get over 10% throttle and never see more than 45mph?

I see the same results as @Zandcwhite. We have a JLU Sahara 3.6 eTorque on 34s; I have a JLUR 2.0T on 35s. Most of our trips are 40-85 MPH with only a few traffic lights - country roads and interstate. In spite of the bigger tires, more aggressive tread, and 4.10, my 2.0T gets about 25% better MPGs than my wife’s Sahara. We travel over virtually the same roads to the same destinations.

Why are you disputing Zach’s use case and results? By the way, I too would not own a 3.6 without the eTorque. I like it too.

I live in Montana where the speed limits are 75-80mph and if you don't drive at least 80mph little old ladies flip you off and nuns spit their snoose at you. we go to Moab 2 or 3 times a year and drive 75-85mph all the way for the most part. some times before we leave we will say we are going to keep it at 72mph for the trip and within about 10 minutes we are going 80mph.
