Yesterday was the Charlotte Auto show. I went hoping there would be a diesel JL there...nope. But I did get to talk to some crazy cute jeep girls / product specialist. I ordered my Rubi with the standard 7” radio. After all, who can listen to a radio in a soft top Jeep with big knobby tires. What I learned was the 7” radio does not have ‘off road pages’. Off road pages is only on the 8.x radio. Is off road pages worth the $1000 dollar up charge?

same here but my dealer said D1? Waiting to see what Monday or in my case Tuesday brings. Be weird to jump to KZ unless they’ve been building them since 11/12 on the Jeep Chat downlow. :CWL:
Building them on the downlow, next week KZ status??
That would be one heck of a surprise for us all next week. Wishfully thinking that may happen

Do you like to see your gauges, coordinates and drivetrain status all in one place? The 8.4 to me is more useful off-road for the nav tracking feature to be honest.

I stopped into my dealer today and asked him to check on the status of my diesel build. He tried calling the regional rep and couldn't get him on the phone. My salesman had his sales manager call someone from Jeep while I was standing there. He was told not to expect the diesels until quarter 1 of next year. I hope the guy on the other end of that call didn't know what he was talking about. I know there will be some upset people if that's the time frame they're looking at.

He also looked at all of the diesels the dealership had ordered for inventory and they all showed "D" status.

I also reached out to my dealer today to check my status. Ordered on 10/12 and still in D status. I asked if the dealer had any other orders in house, whether sold orders or factory/stock orders, and was advised my order was the only diesel order the dealership has taken.

This is definitely taking much longer than it should and most probably due to EPA certification still outstanding.

Why do I see images of evil empire FCA executives reading this thread and snickering, “See I told you they’d wig out”. :CWL::CWL::CWL:

Maybe he is wrong, but I feel as if Ralphie got a cap gun instead of the Red Ryder BB gun.

Last week my order status was D (the same as everyone else). Today, Jeep Chat says my status is C. I believe that is going backwards. Maybe they have postponed beginning production.

Oh it’s postponed alright...indefinitely. And it has precisely nothing to do with FCA. Just remember, we all pay taxes to fund this incompetence/malfeasance.

I just checked with Jeep chat and got the same message that I have been getting.

‘Thank you so much for holding. I am showing that your order is in the scheduling phase of the manufacturing process. The parts required to build the vehicle are being scheduled and as soon as they available and ready, order will be scheduled for build.’

When I ask ‘is that D?’ ... nothing.

I had a long and frustrating chat with Jeep Chat today, they did say that I'm still in the "D" phase.

Not to be a Debbie Downer but you might want to recheck with the dealer again. I also got texted by the dealer that I went to D1 but now he “doesn’t understand” why I am D status again. This whole thing has been screwed up from the get go.

I'm going to be optimistic and choose to believe the D/C shifts are FCA getting orders lines up, parts assigned, and ready to go. I'm also going to go get another beer now.
