2027 JL Refresh? No J70 until 2029?

Some Toledo union information shared by Mopar Insiders stated that the JL is slated for a refresh in 2027. Assuming this is true, what are the likely upgrades? This also makes me think the J70 won't come until at least 2029.

Why would they do yet another refresh on JL when the next-gen is due to go to production in 24 months? That would be the dumbest thing I've ever seen.

Unlikely. The Wrangler has consistently been a 10 year run since the YJ. They just refreshed these a couple years ago. Even if the new model is pushed back, we won't see anything new except these novelty models where they just raid the parts bin.

I can see them redesigning the JL early to cut costs somehow and keeping the same prices.

Digital dash to replace the analog gauges. Like they did for the TRX last model year.

The YJ received a brake upgrade late in life. TJ received the ignition updates for last two years. JK interior and brake updates in 2011 despite drive train updates in 2012. This could be a rolling update to the next generation.

If the 2027 JL refresh happens, it’ll likely be small updates better 4xe, tech tweaks, new trims but the main design stays the same. The new J70 probably won’t show up until 2028, so most buyers won’t see it until 2029.

The PHEV 4xe platform has been completely axed. It’s not coming back. Stellantis even discontinued the Pacifica PHEV.
