Trust me that’s why I started this thread. Getting antsy too but I can wait if there’s some changes coming.

I think they probably killed the i6 in favor of the 4xe. No hard data on that, just don’t think there is much investment in new gas engines any more.Anything further on this turbo six cylinder that was supposed to be coming (I believe it was an inline 6)? They're in desperate need of a well-executed turbo six. Something that will get the Jeep to do 0-60 in the 6 second range.
The base engines are underpowered, the 392 is overkill (glorious overkill though - I have one on order) and the only way to get what I deem to be appropriate levels of acceleration is by going with the 4xe which brings its own issues.
I haven't bought anything yet, actually made the purchase. But I've analyzed and researched about as much as I can about which lift kit, bumpers, etc I'm going to go with.Me too!
I just wish something would be released so if there's nothing major coming to 22 I could just find a 21.
I haven't started buying mods yet. But I have a list started.
I did buy a tuffy rear enclosure for the back off of Facebook
Yeah I wanna see everything. Engine option choices, infotainment system, add-ons, etcI think they probably killed the i6 in favor of the 4xe. No hard data on that, just don’t think there is much investment in new gas engines any more.
Well I am confident the i6 would not be in the 2022 Wrangler at any rate. It was scheduled to go in the Wagoneer and Grand Cherokee first and then trickle down to the Wrangler. But I don't think it will ever happen.Yeah I wanna see everything. Engine option choices, infotainment system, add-ons, etc
Was hoping for at least a Hemi non 392.Well I am confident the i6 would not be in the 2022 Wrangler at any rate. It was scheduled to go in the Wagoneer and Grand Cherokee first and then trickle down to the Wrangler. But I don't think it will ever happen.
We don’t even have the order guides yet for 2022s. Not sure how that would be possible.I talked to a dealer today about ordering a Rubicon, and was told the order would be a 2022 and he expected orders for them to open on 5/27. We'll see what happens
I completely agree. I called to ask about ordering a 2021 and that's what the guy told me. I'm hoping he meant that they could order again starting Thursday. We don’t even have the order guides yet for 2022s. Not sure how that would be possible.
I think the 4Xe is the new 5.7.Was hoping for at least a Hemi non 392.
yeah, and the 392 is the "Mojave". Im pretty sure Covid and the Bronco changed FCA's plans a bit.I think the 4Xe is the new 5.7.
Battery is way too small for me to even consider the 4Xe and that weight for now. If we were in the 50-80 mile range I would consider it more. Over a 100 and it would be an easy choice. But I guess that’s what the full electric will be.I think the 4Xe is the new 5.7.
Yes true with most things in life but is also situational. Was there in the same place several weeks and months ago even over the past couple years. Every year brings changes and every year they'll be slight modifications. However always waiting out for the next thing you're also in the process of passing up the opportunity of what's in front of you today.
Yes very true. But hopefully the wait is not long for the 22s.Was there in the same place several weeks and months ago even over the past couple years.
