I thought so too, but more than one dealership gave the same date of today. For my order I was told it may also get pushed if it does not get scheduled by today. I out mine in Friday, but was still showing as pending order yesterday. Im hoping it made it to scheduling, but if not I guess ill start looking for whatever new options there will be that I can add.

On a side note, I sold my 2020 JLUR late last year. We are down to a single car. Over the weekend the AZ heat dis what it does best and wasted our water pump lol. Really need our Jeep sooner than later. May just but my wife something off the lot but everything is so overpriced right now. 2017 Grand Cherokee Trailhawks woth 3x the miles are selling for more than mine was worth when I sold it to buy my 2018 JLUR. Its crazy how much everything is.
Yeah I hear that's the case for most new and used cars right now. Just have to decide if holding out is something you can do until things simmer down. For me, work is a 6-7 minute bike ride so it's a no brainer. Plus I have work vehicles if I really needed something for the day while my wife uses the jeep, thus waiting is an option for me.

The good news is that orders don't seem to be as heavily affected as the cars on the dealer lots.

I am a big fan of the 5.7. I may even pick that over the Eco-Diesel as the 5.7 is a very proven power plant with good power and none of the emissions stuff. (Less anyway). Add factory 35s, and 360 cams and I would not be sad to wait a bit longer to get mine.
Those would be huge for me. I don't think we will see either for MY22, but if I was going to bet between seeing on of those for the 22's, I would got with the 5.7 HEMI.

My order went in 5/5 and im in D status, I hope it gets scheduled soon or im thinking It might get pushed to 2022, if I thought that Gecko was going to be around for 2022 I would've just waited. My question to my dealer was what happens if I get pushed to 2022 and new options come out, can I alter my order? he's trying to find out for me

I have worked from home since 2015, and wife does not work so we don't need a vehicle for that. we are still having most things delivered as well so not a big issue there. However we travel a lot so need something to use for now that it is getting bsck to normal. the water pump letting go was bad timing, but I hate her car anyway so I won't be too upset to replace it. just funny how it has issues the weekend we placed our order after it being fine since selling my 2020 last year.

maybe the ford dealer messed with it while we were checking out the Bronco Friday and not paying attention lol.

Sorry to hear that :( Hope it gets resolved so you can wait for the 22! Here's hoping we get some bad ass features to compete with the bronco! Even if not for major design refresh, more factory options would be welcomed.

Just checked with Jeep Chat, I am still without a VIN, waiting on parts availability so they can schedule. not even a good "B" code, sitting im "BA". so I may be in the 2022 boat with you. time to buy the wife a Grand Cherokee while we wait lol.

Are you going with the Grand Cherokee L?

No, we will get another regular Grand Cherokee, most likely another Trailhawk with the 5.7 unless we can find another 4x4 with the 5.7 in the Sangria color. Thats her favorite Grand Cherokee color, so we would give up the Trailhawk model for that color.

Nice! I was seriously considering the Grand Cherokee L Overland with Trail Rated package, but I know I would miss not having a wrangler myself. It appears the wife and I will both have wranglers now.

Looking for jeep
Yeah I am stoked. If we can place order let's say June 7th, 2021. I will be ordering right away. Crossing my fingers. My quick list.

  • uConnect 5 with Wireless Car Play (Likely)
  • Wireless Phone Charger (Unlikely)
  • 360 Camera (Unlikely, even if it ships with uConnect 5. Probably on MY23's)
  • Factory 35's (Unlikely)
  • Heated Rear Seats (Unlikely, can be added 3rd party)
  • 5.7L V8 HEMI Engine (Rumored as a possibility, but still unlikely)
I would probably get the 5.7 over the diesel.

Any hard facts on the 5.7 or just a wishlist?

Did the 2021 order banks really close today after all? A few people posted that, and I was told that by a few dealerships but you never know. If so, much earlier this year.
I had an order placed today and it went in as 2021, not to say they couldn't change it later I suppose but at least as of now it seems like there was nothing magical about the 5/18 date.

No hard facts on anything yet :( just a rumor.
Anything further on this turbo six cylinder that was supposed to be coming (I believe it was an inline 6)? They're in desperate need of a well-executed turbo six. Something that will get the Jeep to do 0-60 in the 6 second range.

The base engines are underpowered, the 392 is overkill (glorious overkill though - I have one on order) and the only way to get what I deem to be appropriate levels of acceleration is by going with the 4xe which brings its own issues.

If this rumored new engine isn't making it into their flagship Grand Commander at launch it's not making it into the Wrangler anytime soon.
