Yes, I have it on my new order. The first few days it was not available on a Rubicon, but a few days layer it was.

Hmm, so I have a 21 JLR order that is being shipped to the dealer. If Uconnect 5 is indeed released for MY22, I wonder what penalty I would face if wanting to re-order... would it be even worth it with all these shortages around?

I’m not sure the penalty. Regarding if it would be worth it or not. Look at the features and maybe some video demos and see if those things are something worth waiting on. For me wireless CarPlay is a big deal and I would love to have it since it natively works with uConnect 5.

I hope thats not the case, but if it does happen I hope some cool new color or option comes out so I wont feel so bad. would love a Purple "Mojave" Unlimited, but pretty sure neither are even remotely possible.

I do think the 2022 will get the 8.4" Uconnect 5 from the Grand Cherokee L, but that alone is not enough to make me wait. I am actually fine with the current setup for my needs.

The '21 GC has a MUCH nicer back up camera and screen. Super bright and better resolution.

its not showing online but a dealer can add it in the ordering system. its a $95 option.

I thought I read somewhere Gorilla glass is not available on a Rubicon? Any idea if that's true?

Oh yeah one more reason I want uConnect 5, the two option brightness drives me mad on uConnect 4. It’s either dim or bright when on auto. My MBUX system on my Mercedes worked more like a phone with ambient light sensors. I’ve seen uConnect 5 working more like this

They just released a may 14th order guide for 2021. I highly doubt it will close ordering 4 days later. It really doesn’t matter that much when they open up 2022 orders up, the 1st 2022 are likely going to be delivered sometime around the beginning of September.

That’s when I’m hoping to pick mine up but wouldn’t be upset if I got it late august.

I have Gorilla Glass on my Rubicon build placed last Friday.

Similar to me. if something I cant do without is released for 2022 ill let my 2021 go (or cancel if no VIN yet) and order a 2022. If no new options ill get my 2021 sooner.
