The UConnect 4
Hmm, so I have a 21 JLR order that is being shipped to the dealer. If Uconnect 5 is indeed released for MY22, I wonder what penalty I would face if wanting to re-order... would it be even worth it with all these shortages around?
That's a very tough call? Do you have a vehicle to drive and can wait for a 2022?

UConnect 4 is plagued with problems and the dealers have no idea of how to fix them. If possible I would wait for the 2022 order guide to see if UConnect 5 is available. Try ordering a 2022 if it is. Take the 2021 if UConnect 5 is not available.

I’d love to see this too.
Except people were talking about wranglers not having a long enough wheelbase to be true desert runners so it’s still on the out.
That is what I am waiting for as well. I may even bail to a Gladiator if they don't bring the Mojave to the Wrangler.

That's my intention as I already have a DD. I'm just hoping to find out BEFORE delivery. Ultimately though, I may end up just taking the 21 since I lack patience and already have a pile of stuff waiting to go on the Jeep.... 22s won't touch down till September.

I have to also say that I've spent some time lurking in the uconnect 5 section of some forums, and it appears that they too are experiencing bugs, glitches, and gremlins.

Yes there appears to be quite a few, but uConnect 4 is dead. Since uConnect 5 is based on the android platform and is capable of quick OTA updates, it could have support for more than a decade.

Wrangler Mojave trim?
I have been waiting for over a year. im pretty sure Mojave Wrangler is not happening anymore, or at least anytime soon. the 392 most likely took its place. FCA had to do something to combat the Bronco and the 392 was perfect for that. I would cancel my 2021 order in a heartbeat though if they did make a Mojave Wrangler. the seats alone are worth it to me.

Just that it would be available for 8.4” screens as well as 12”?
This is a direct quote from the article. They were specifically referring to Ram products and not Wrangler though.

"The Uconnect 5 software will be available not just in the 12-inch screen format, but also in 8.4-inch as well."

The availability of Gorilla Glass is huge. UConnect 5 would be a HUGE option worth waiting for. Hopefully UConnect 5 makes it into the 2022 models. I am hoping for another color also. I wonder if they will replace Billet Silver with another version of silver.

The JL back up lights and camera are really bad. You can't see anything at night. The back up lights can barely light up enough to see through the back up camera screen at night. It would be nice if the 2022s had much better back up lights or a improved camera that works better in low light. The aftermarket has a few solutions. There are a few aftermarket aux back up lights that mount in the rear bumper where the red reflectors normally are. They help tremendously. It would be nice if there was a factory option.

Looking for jeep
All I know is that I'm getting freakin antsy, lol. I don't think I can do any more mods shopping - I've basically assigned my whole budget already.

Just ready to place my order.
Me too!

I just wish something would be released so if there's nothing major coming to 22 I could just find a 21.

I haven't started buying mods yet. But I have a list started.

I did buy a tuffy rear enclosure for the back off of Facebook

Hopefully the 2022 guides and/or info is relased soon. All of these supply shortages probably are not helping.
