One doesn’t usually buy a Wrangler for mpg.
One definitely doesn’t lift a Wrangler, add 35’s, not regear, and expect good mpg.
Yet our 18 JLU Sahara just returned over 22 mpg on a trip from WV to Columbus OH.
The route was interstate and state route driving. Speeds mainly 65-70 until we exited the interstate and drove through Columbus when I took the picture. It did use 8th gear more than it does locally.
3.6 auto with 3.45’s, 315 Wildpeaks, Mopar lift, and speedo corrected with Tazer

Have you checked it manually? I've found that the MPG read out in these is off by 1-1.5 MPG

My dash display is always spot-on.

I'm averaging 18 MPG on the 35s and 20 MPG on stock tires. This is a city/highway mix. Pretty amazing.

Which engine? Judging by your tach's redline I'm guessing V6?I'm wondering if your speedo adjustment is off or if you had a major tailwind, that seems pretty high, but if not, than nice!

My readout is routinely 0.2-0.5 on the high side. It's never been that far off though.

It has the 3.6
I didn’t calculate manually. I have before and it has been less than .5 mpg different.
Speedometer is adjusted with the Tazer and verified with GPS.

Just got home from a 5,998 mile trip from NC to CO to AZ (Overland Expo) to TX to MI to NC. Average 15.188 MPG high of 18.604 and a low of 12.970 (calculated manually). I do have a GOBI rack on the Jeep and a rooftop tent. 2018 Sahara with now 27,783 miles 3.6 engine. Overall I'm OK with that. Battled some pretty strong headwinds across the planes states. And the tent is a major air dam. MOPAR lift and 275/70-18 KO2s. I would be ecstatic with 22 MPG but by the same token I had no hotel bills for the 20 day trip.

That's great mileage! Do you live in the Wheeling area? Just wondered, that's where I'm from. When you said you traveled from WV to Columbus, OH I assumed you were close to Wheeling.

Since March I've been keeping a record mileage every time I am at the pump.

pre Rubi 315 take offs:
March 16: 245.2 miles 13.7 gallons = 17.9mpg
March 24: 213.0 miles 13.6 gallons = 15.7 mpg (not sure what happened here)
March 31: 223.5 miles 12.62 gallons (installed 315/70/R17)
post Rubi 315 take offs:

April 26: 223.5 miles 14.24 gallons = 15.7 mpg
May 7: 182 miles 11.9 gallons = 15.3 mpg
May 18: 195.9 miles 13 gallons = 15.1 mpg
May 29: 213.5 miles; 13.34 gallons = 16.0 mpg

lost 3 miles per gallon... not too bad!! :)

I got some sahara take-offs for my rubi since I tend to do a lot of highway rides. On the stock KO2's I averaged 18.5. On the sahara takeoffs (HTs) I average 20.5. (manual calc based on gps) Speedo is accurate on both, so despite size on the label, they have the same circumference on the jeep. Off the jeep, the sahara tire is 2% smaller. I still haven't figured that one out, other than that the KO2 must flex more. I was shocked at the improvement in mpg. JLUR V6 MT.

Completely off topic, but that’s the first chrome fuel cap cover I’ve seen, and it looks great.

I'm originally from New Martinsville but now live closer to Charleston. The trip was for my daughters 5th grade class to the Zoo. Our route was I77- 33 in Ohio, to 270. The trip mileage in the picture was about 2 miles from the zoo and all but about 10 were on that trip alone.
