My Wrangler JL does not even have 400 miles on it and I just experienced it tonight on my way home from work. (Music cut out and no lines on backup camera. Very frustrating to be having a issue like this on a $54,000 vehicle. Maybe they should not have switched to alpine brand. Had 2 JK Jeeps in the past and still have 1 and never had any issue. Does anyone know anything more? I tried the resets with no luck. I did get a software update from uconnect the other day. Not sure what it was for but I did it. If it was for this issue it didn’t fix it. I share all of your frustration on this matter and they better get it fixed fast.

Mine has 55 miles!! Your part of the club! Jeep should give free KY with every one sold!

TSB# 08-091-18 (https://www.dropbox.com/s/lvko1eeesqajou5/Radio and Back-up Camera Enhancements.pdf?dl=0)

Having the problem of audio cutting out. Seems related to temperature. Only does it when it is cold outside, but does not always do it when it is cold.
Took Jeep to dealer. They said bring it back when it was doing it.
Brought back next day. Dealer ran diagnostics. Dealer says:
Radio is bad. Jeep knows about this problem, and quit using Panasonic products in early 2018 because of it.
Radio needs replaced. Dealer must get approval from Jeep to replace the radio. Replacement radio - if Jeep gives permission to replace - may take days, weeks, or longer to arrive, and may have the same problem as this one.
Currently in limbo, awaiting call to learn if Jeep approved replacement of the radio.

Interesting that they quit using Panasonic products in early 2018. I wonder what they use now.

It is not related to cold weather, some ppl in Florida are experiencing it...

Brent, which size screen do you have? I have the 7" and this did nothing. I tried it with the steering controls Phone+VR, and I also tried it again with the Volume/Scan buttons on the stereo. Neither one did anything after 30s, and the U-Connect screen never turned black or appeared to have reset, either. This may not work on the 7" screens I wonder.
