All I know is that by pulling fuse F97 for 10 sec and then restarting the truck twice fixes the issue... until next time lol.
Next time it probably won't work unless you also add, balance in tree pose for 30 seconds and bark like a dog three times. HA

I had the audio issue this morning. Luckily itā€™s only the second time ever. I didnā€™t remote start but it was cold out. Once i noticed it, I pulled over. Turned off the Jeep, opened the door, waited 10 seconds or so and started it back up. The radio was normal again. Iā€™ll keep watching this thread to see if someone ends up with a fix.

You're lucky. That method, even after 20 minutes has never worked for me. Mine needs at least an hour. Uuugh. They ordered a new radio for me. A new radio didn't work for someone else in this thread but at least I feel like Jeep is finally working on this issue.

Add me to the list experiencing this issue. Just started today.

First day it was under 20F that I parked outside. Used remote start prior to first stutter happening. Didn't happen the immediate next time I drove with using remote start. Then back again the 3rd time.

If you can, drive straight to the dealership the next time it happens. If they can't reproduce the issue, they'll just send you away and tell you to come back while it's happening. I finally got mine in yesterday morning so that it could throw a code for their diagnostics. I guess, it really does help all of us as a community to get the vehicles in and get the codes recorded. They ordered me a new radio. We'll see what happens.

Here's an update.

A member on the 5thGenRAM forum was experiencing the same issue, and had their truck updated to that TSB I posted above. https://www.dropbox.com/s/lvko1eeesqajou5/Radio and Back-up Camera Enhancements.pdf?dl=0

Their uConnect system isn't the 8.4C with navigation, like most of us here. See post here: https://5thgenrams.com/community/th...ses-in-audio-for-all-sources.3975/#post-62777.

It looks like that TSB resolved the issue for him, but he has the non-navigation 8.4" screen. That TSB was dated on November 5 2018. If anyone is experiencing the issue, I would wait for an official TSB or uConnect update from FCA. I wouldn't risk any technician pulling your interior apart (considering its a brand new truck) to fix something that isn't the root cause.

FWIW, I have a 2019 RAM 1500 with the 8.4C navigation, and I'm experiencing the exact same issue as everyone else here. I brought my truck into the dealer a few days ago with the TSB in-hand, but they said it did not pertain to my specific truck. I've been experiencing this issue since mid-October, just like everyone else.

I also doubt now that its the actual amp in our trucks, since how would that affect the rear backup camera guidelines disappearing?

Hi Pic18 and Arkewn,

We are sorry to hear this has happened. Please send us your VIN and mileage in a private message so that we can investigate this further.

Update on my ā€˜situationā€™: Jeep Cares advises that use of Panasonic radios has NOT been discontinued.
As to The Problem: After ā€œdiagnosingā€ the problem and conferring with Jeep, my local dealer called me and told me to bring my Rubicon in and they would replace the radio amplifier. They stated that the amplifier controls the radio, and this would fix the problem. I took my Jeep in, and they had it for seven hours. When I picked the Jeep up, the radio worked.
I got in the Jeep two hours later, started it up, and the same problem still exists.

This is becoming more than frustrating or an inconvenience. This is aggravating.

Tried it, tried and tried it, again and again and again.... Doesn't work.
Well, for the record, mine began having the radio cutting out problem again today. In to the dealer on Monday.
Thought the procedure I had described would fix it for good, but for only a week and a half.

Proof that replacing the amp doesnā€™t resolve the issue. Like I said earlier, itā€™s a software update that should resolve. If FCA sent a TSB regarding this for a similar radio, that means we should be next on the update list.

Trailhead, Iā€™ve got plenty of video footage of the problem... between that and links to the two large threads in this forum about the problem Iā€™m hoping they will take the issue seriously.

Iā€™ve owned it two days, first day was awesome, second day I started to have this issue and a little buyers remorse has kicked in...

Add me to the list affected by this...
Additionally, I park outside in Central Ohio, the rear defroster button illuminates intermittently when temps below 30 (remote start with cold weather pkg).

Not sure if the two are related (maybe BCM issue), but wanted it out there.

@JeepCares , whatā€™s being done to triage/resolve this issue?

Dealer found 30 codes relating to low voltage. Also referred to Star Case S18080000143. Battery was reading 12.10 volts. Battery was charged and the charging system tested, all ok and radio is now operative. I am going to keep an eye on the voltage. I think there's a voltage reading on the instrument panel.

Very interesting... I have an appointment Monday morning... hopefully they can find something as well.
