Speakers cutting out

I installed the alpine premium speakers in my sport s. If I turn the volume up too high the speakers cut out. I was wondering if this is because my head unit cannot power them at that high of a volume. I would say once I get over 30 volume level on my uconnect 3 this happens. If this is the issue I’m not worried about it because I am installing a sub, amp, and new head unit very soon but just wanted to make sure its not something more serious. Any ideas?
