I believe having the dealer disconnect the camera makes the most sense. 22 degrees here in Minnesota this morning and mine, with the camera replaced in March of this year is still good.
Here's what was replaced on our Wrangler in March. I will lose backup lines occasionally if the system is not booted-up before putting the Jeep in reverse.
FCA knows it's the camera. My dealer had the FCA service representative in, explained the problem and the rep said to order and install a...
My camera was replaced in March 2019....no problems since then, although the backup lines can disappear if you shift to reverse before the system boots up. But they re-appear at the next shift to reverse. FCA knows its the backup camera causing the problem.

Eleven weeks since my backup camera was replaced, no radio cutting in and out problems since then. Your dealer has to press the regional FCA service representative for the camera replacement. In reading all of the comments on this forum, I believe my Jeep is the success story on getting this...
In my case, I had the same problem. Solution from the FCA regional service person was to install a new back up camera. Check the other threads on this. In my 9th week with the new camera, have had no problems with audio cutting in and out since camera replacement.
8 weeks since FCA allowed the back up camera to be replaced in my 2018 Sahara. No problems since then. Have your dealer service department ask FCA for a new camera.
Going into week 8, audio system has had no problems. I believe camera replacement is the key. My understanding is the regional service rep for FCA can approve the camera replacement.
Camera replaced March 18, and seven weeks later with the exception of losing backup lines when going in reverse before the system completely boots up, all is working well, no radio problems. If you are still having the radio cutting out, your service manager needs to have their regional FCA...
I have found that if I put the Jeep in reverse prior to the system booting up, I will generally lose the back up lines. After the two opening screens and then the GPS map appears, everything tends to be OK. I did have a new back-up camera installed as I was getting the radio cutting in and out.
I do think that you need to let the system power up and go thru the two screens before the mapping comes up. I've found now that if I don't, and put it into reverse prior to this, I will lose the backup lines for a couple of starts. But radio has been fine since camera was replaced and coming up...
It's been a month, new camera install was Monday 3/18. Audio system and camera are both working well. I don't drive the Jeep everyday but no problems so far.
