Well I see I’m not the only one. I just came back to this board to update that it happened again for the past two days and it does seem to be related to the remote start. Not cool for cold northern chicago.

I’ll call the dealer and see if they can do anything but this seems to be an update and hopefully a software update can fix this. Seriously, this is a quirk that shouldn’t have gotten through Q/C and should be able to be fixed quickly.
Chris,
Not directly related to Remote Start. It did it to me again this morning. I intentionally did not use Remote Start because I couldn't endure the maddening intermittent audio all the way to work. I did turn on the comfort controls as soon as I got in. Heated steering wheel and heated seat and boom, enter the intermittent audio and no grid lines for backup camera. So I wonder if comfort controls cause it, making it indirectly related to Remote Start.

@JeepCares , I tried the restart suggested by DGriffin1671 earlier in this thread. Tried it twice. It didn't work.

Chris, let me know please what your dealership says about the progress engineering is making, if any, to offer an update as my dealership appears to have fallen off the face of the planet.

Yes, anything below 35 degrees I'd say is accurate. It was 28 degrees this morning. Saturday it was 21 degrees. It's true, the problems only became apparent when the weather turned colder. I didn't experience the issue when I first bought her in August. I didn't use remote start today but as soon as I turned on the heated steering wheel and heated seat, the problem returned.

I had the same cutting in / out problem today. It seems my Wear OS Smartwatch interferes / competes with the UConnect / iPhone BT connection, but doesn't happen all the time, so I'll be returning the watch.

I bought a JL Rubicon Monday night, and all the above was wrong, cutting out, back up camera, getting stuck on screens, etc. now I will tell you it did it on the test drive! I told the sales manager and said I will not buy until it’s fixed. They called me that weekend and said it’s fixed, simple flashing of computer. Like a fool I believed them.

Brought it into the dealer at 7:30 am, and wow! They had this incredible process and said it can take 3 weeks to get. WTF

Spend $50,0000 on a Jeep, and they treat you like this! He gave me customer service and two people hung up on me!

Called service manager at 2:30pm and told me oh yeah, your part of wave. Some customer thing because I bought a Rubicon.

Wave sucks, she told me that’s the process!

Anyone want this Jeep, I’m going back to my Chevy!

So you want a private message so people don’t see how messed up the product is.

We pay too much $$$ to get product like this, and then the poor service on top of it!

FYI: This reboot using green phone button and voice command button doesn't work.

Daily Update:

Last night 9/20/18, Boulder, Colorado 7:45pm 37 degrees. No remote start. No comfort controls used. Audio works fine. NO Backup Camera Guidelines despite the setting being set to active.

This morning 9/21/18 Boulder, Colorado 8:00 am 39 degrees. No remote start. No comfort controls used. All is normal. Backup Camera Guidelines have returned.

CAVEAT: Weather predicted to be poor for Saturday and Sunday. Expecting all systems to completely malfunction. I sincerely hope the computer doesn't start to effect things like the fuel gauge, the tire pressure monitoring or anything that could be a major safety concern, i.e. the cruise control, the braking system, air bags etc. This is bigger than "the radio doesn't work". It continually progresses and effects more and varied systems within the vehicle.

@JeepCares : Everybody here needs some better communication about where engineering is on providing a fix for this please.

Thank you

I have the same issue since last week and made plenty of tests to see what could cause it...

So after several home made test I can say that in my case the issue happens EVERY time I start the vehicle using the ''push to start'' button and doesn't happened when I remote start it...

I am visiting the dealer again tomorrow morning, we'll see what they have to say now that I can duplicate the issue!

I'll keep you posted tomorrow after my visit.

So I specifically signed up for this forum just to post this:

https://5thgenrams.com/community/th...mittent-pauses-in-audio-for-all-sources.3822/

I have a 2019 RAM 1500 with the exact same issues. There is another forum member with the 12.1" screen who has the same issue as well (I have the 8.4" screen with navigation). It appears we all started experiencing this issue on October 18, 2018.

I've updated my thread with the link from this thread. It appears its a uConnect wide spread issue. FWIW, the 12.1" recently received an update a few days ago.

Wanted to update - it appears a 12.1" uConnect user received an update to their system a few days ago, but the intermittent audio issue re-appeared. If you're hoping for an update, it looks like RAM or Jeep may not know of the issue as of yet.

Tagging @JeepCares on this.

I've only had this happen a few times but I feel like it's related to when I plug my phone/iPod into a USB port. I have a manual transmission so it's definitely not remote start related. If I wait to plug in my phone (to the USB-C) until after the system has started (maybe 15-20 seconds after starting the vehicle) I haven't had the issue happen. Yesterday I unplugged an iPod Touch that was in the console right after starting the Jeep and it happened again which makes me think it's having an issue trying to connect to a device during the startup sequence.

I originally thought this as well. I went as far as removing all Bluetooth, USB, and CarPlay/Android Auto connections, on both ends. The issue still persisted. I even tested letting the truck start up at first, waiting a few minutes, then powering on uConnect and HVAC systems. Same issue. I really do think it’s an inherent issue within the OS/firmware version of our uConnect systems.
