Look, in the business of engineering and machinery, it’s not about scolding, or feelings. There is only technical accuracy.Yeah yeah… why don’t you get in line behind all the others who have scolded me already!
... and in the business of machinery, Engineers never have differing opinions and express scolding or feelings concerning technical accuracy of problem causation and solution.Look, in the business of engineering and machinery, it’s not about scolding, or feelings. There is only technical accuracy.

It’s not feelings, it’s discussion. Feelings are irrelevant. It’s okay to be wrong in discussion. It’s not okay to be wrong in execution.... and in the business of machinery, Engineers never have differing opinions and express scolding or feelings concerning technical accuracy of problem causation and solution.

I have no idea what your point is and feel my confusion may be in your discussion execution. It’s not feelings, it’s discussion. Feelings are irrelevant. It’s okay to be wrong in discussion. It’s not okay to be wrong in execution.

I had no problem understanding Tr4ckD4ys's execution though; you did pile on, adding nothing to the discussion.

I still don't get your point, you have added absolutely nothing of informational value, for posterity, to the discussion. Pages after the thread originator waved a flag of surrender you simply shot him with your redundant observation: "This line of thinking is entirely incorrect."Forums exist in perpetuity, this is not a group text message. He’s not the OP, and only 2, maybe 3 people total responded to this post. “Pages after” means nothing.I still don't get your point, you have added absolutely nothing of informational value, for posterity, to the discussion. Future generations won't even be entertained, however, I was by his reply: "Yeah yeah… why don’t you get in line behind all the others who have scolded me already!.

This line of thinking is entirely incorrect. This type of format may not be for you.
Pretty good. This line of thinking is entirely incorrect.![]()
Same story as the peoples doing drifting, they use a special oil pan design to keep the oil available while side way." There is a rumor that jeep engine design to includes running 1 qt low "
I'm not planning for any (off roading) myself, but if you do I'd for sure try to NOT run a quart low on oil. Not sure where the sump (oil pickup) resides within the oil pan of a Jeep, but that can be critical in some sitluations.
I own an SSR, it has a Vette 6.0 engine. But in the SSR version, its oil pan has a horizonal hole thru it cause it is the same pan used on 4wd Chevy Trail blazers. Their oil pickup is in the front of the pan and off road usage has caused several faillures of the engine due to oil starvation when the oil is slung to the rear of the pan where it cannot be circulated by the oil pickup.
Many SSR owners have resolved this potential problem in one of two ways...........Some (including me), add an extra quart beyond the full mark. Under full acceleration, this helps avoid oil starvation. Other SSR owners have switched out the stock oil pan with a C6 Vette oil pan and relocated pickup that resolves this problem
You likely won't see any SSRs "off roading" and none of us that I am aware of that run an extra qt. are having any foaming problems. Can't speak for the Trail Blazer guys as they are the ones that should be running extra when going off road.Same story as the peoples doing drifting, they use a special oil pan design to keep the oil available while side way.
Any oil foaming issue while going down steep grade when you have 1 qt extra ?
Idling down a steep slope isn't a "foaming" scenario. High rpm is required for foaming. Also, most high quality motor oils have anti-foaming constituents. Especially those intended for high performance vehicles like Porsche, Corvette, etc..Same story as the peoples doing drifting, they use a special oil pan design to keep the oil available while side way.

Maybe, still I suspect that once the oil start to pool down above the windage tray not so fun stuff is bound to happen.Idling down a steep slope isn't a "foaming" scenario.
