Lol.

The issue is the frame welds and radio issues. I suggested that if it is not resolvedd i would have to go to my state attorney. Then they started badgering me about if i hired a lawyer or not and what would happen if i did. Told them it was none of their business but no i have not.

On the bright side my neighbor, an oil pipeline welding inspector is going to ask a couple of his friends with a different certification to inspect my JLU frame welds. If this happens i will have some more ammunition against jeep for these welds.

They have no clue what a State Attorney General is and what they do. Maybe training is lacking? Most adults know what one is and does so I am not sure why Jeep Wave employees are so clueless on the topic.

For those who don't know they basically handle consumer complaints and investigate them. Kind of like the BBB but in an official State capacity... Filing a complaint with them is NOT the same as hiring an attorney for litigation purposes..

I also mentioned filling a State Attorney General complaint and got a similar response. This was followed by the Wave employee hanging up on me when I asked her if she knew what a State Attorney General was and what they do...

Comical and sad at the same time..

Does that apply to where the caller is calling from? Or where the CEO's office is? I doubt they are in the same state...

*snip from the link*

This begs the question of which jurisdiction governs when you are talking to a person in another state. Some states require the consent of all parties to the conversation, while others require only the consent of one party. It is not always clear whether federal or state law applies, and if state law applies which of the two (or more) relevant state laws controls. A good rule of thumb is that the law of the jurisdiction in which the recording device is located will apply.

yeah that's what I've been told by police. Whenever I move states (about every 5 years for the last 20yrs) I've looked into this at the same time I do with conceal and carry and some of the other tricky stuff. Its rather important.

Back when I was living in AZ i had a TJ that was getting some body work and a paint job. The body shop did a crap job on the paint (massive orange peel) and tried to say it was normal. Refuse to fix it. So I went to their other shop across town with a recorder and said I wanted an estimate cause another body shop did a crap job (not saying which shop). The guy goes on and on about how bad it was. I said thanks and asked for the owner who's office was there. Played the recording and showed him the paperwork from his other shop. I had a new paint job done within a week and was given a whole lot of apologies.

If your welds are bad, mind posting pics...I'd like to see where and what to look out for.

Did you inform them they were being recorded?

Most states only require 1 person be in the know of a call being recorded. Wouldn’t really matter which states each party is in. If car was purchased in callers state that would be the state with legal jurisdiction.

On the phone with jeep cares agent today and he starts badgering me asking if i hired a lawyer. Stating that if i have, then jeep cares will no longer talk to me and mt 2 month old JLU Sport's warranty is void.

Wow...just wow.
Sounds like you tossed out the attorney threat first in a later comment. The person did what they are supposed to do. If you hire a lawyer then they are done talking with you at that level and will be best served not to work on your vehicle until whatever legal matter you bluffed them is resolved.

Guys like you who threaten lawyers, record calls and all that other BS are really your own worst enemies. You all play victim when it backfires in you. You all don’t know how to deal with people and because of that everything becomes a big hassle. I’d bet you are a big PITA to deal with on everything.

The OP stated he told them he would contact the State Attorney General so no, the rep did not do what they were suppose to.. First and foremost would be listening to what was said next would be comprehension of what was said...... The rep obviously only heard one of these 3 words --> State Attorney General... I bold'd the one word the rep chose to hear and understand..

Most. I know Louisiana requires both. AZ and MN one. From what I am told...colorado requires both.

Yep, tossed out the attorney word. We are both speculating what their policy is in regards to handling consumer complaints. Bet it went a hole lot different than just a casual inquiry. Enough so that the OP threatened to go to the State Attorney General cause he wasn’t getting his way.

Probably did all this first before taking his Jeep to the dealership and claim it under his warranty. Probably nothing wrong with his Jeep just saw some claim this issue on a message forum then got on the phone to start bugging people.

Post actual pictures of the problem but instead posted other people’s threads saying mine looks similar. Yeah right.

The State Attorney General is NOT an attorney you hire for litigation.. What should people say when referring to filling a State Attorney General complaint? Leave out the word Attorney so you don't confuse someone who has no clue what it is and what they do? Okay, who exactly is the State General and how do I contact them to file a complaint against a business?

I'm still trying to figure out what the hell you thought a call center employee was going to be able to personally do for your welds? What would you expect them to concede with the threat of contacting the attorney general? They don't have ANY technical knowledge let alone the capacity to determine whether your welds are ok or not........they can refer you to a dealer or body shop but I'm sure you'd just get your panties all bunched up. Unless your car is at the dealer and the dealer is escalating the issue through their district service rep you will make 0 progress. Your incompetence and threats will get you absolutely nowhere...... but cool story bro
