Yes..... I called jeepcares prior because I was under time constraints....dealership responded with nothing....would not cover under warranty or extended warranty.....
No would other dealerships within 100 miles....so you're blessed...but stay tuned you'll encounter issues and change your tune....when something hits ...and it WILL......

Why is the oil cooler not covered under the 5yr 60k power train warranty? I understand and agree that customer service is not great but if you want them to cover the cost you have to work their system. They are not going to give you $$$ for using aftermarket parts (Dorman ).
You are correct....but I was told otherwise initially and haven't even heard a word....

Get a 4 Runner if you want quality.
I was thinking about the 4Runner this morning. I owned a 5th Gen 4Runner briefly and I did not like it. The 4.0L V6 is a great engine, but the 5-speed in that thing is an absolute dog, with terrible gearing. The interior is also a shitshow riot of different plastics and materials. Well-made, but with strong 90s vibes.

However, it’s still made in Japan and appears to be legit bulletproof. If you can stomach the mediocre driving experience, there is some appeal to a T4R as one of the last of a dying breed of very traditional SUVs.

I am a faithful JEEP lover. I own a 2019 Jeep J L Wrangler 2 door sport...In 2019 with 10,000 miles ,two new new camshafts....and after much adou with Jeep wave cares program ( 5 Vista to dealer), the camshafts, known to Stellantis as poorly heat treated,
Replaced .Now in 2023 Oil cooler leak with 24,000 miles......Called Jep Wave (cares) program....crickets...nada nothing after week and a half....multilevel return calls...nada....,so I paid for a new Dorman metal oil cooler out of pocket,as well as labor, trying to get jeep to pay for half or all of labor...I'll absorb part cost. They know Oil cooler and O rings fail (case #S180900007 Rev C, June 2021 Star online publication) no return calls...nada nothing......Anybody who knows the Jeep brand now knows build quality is lacking .Jeep Wave Cares program very sub par unfortunately..
..what happened in 3 short years...Jeep Cares Wave program tanked...
I waited to get a Jeep for 30 years and now have the build quality of my my 74 Vega G.T, and warranty , extended warranty service, and follow up by Jeep Wave (Cares ) staff which is below sub par. Terribly disappointed...I hate Ford. But amconsidering it,the dreaded Crazy Horse Suv...Shame on your Jeep and Jeep Cares
Dang it I hate to hear Jeep problems . I have been very fortunate have owned 20+ new Jeeps and have a local Jeep dealer who cares. Im extremely happy with my Jeeps and my customer service . My dealer takes my complaints and finds a solution and in a timely matter. My son bought a Bronco on the other hand has had nothing but problems since literally day 1. Ford service is horrible parts take forever.....he just came back yo Jeep yesterday with a new Rubicon Jl diesel. I hope you get you Jeep cares issues figured out. Sounds like you need a better Jeep dealer......

Yeah. As it sits right now, 4Runner doesn’t do anything for me. Quality is solid, but driving manners are uninspiring, and the styling, inside and out, is unattractive at best.

This may all change once the all-new 2025 4Runner, or upcoming Land Cruiser for that matter, come out.

The local Toyota dealer is nothing to write home about, but it is still 100 times better than the local Jeep dealer.

Jeep has gone way down hill in my experience also. I’ve owned a few Wranglers.
recently my JL broke down. Five weeks at Branhaven Jeep in Branford CT. They were extremely rude from day one. Lied about diagnosis. Said no codes found. When confronted about the CEL light on and car barely running they found codes on page 2? From the tech lol. My radio had issues where I have to pull a fuse to get it to shut off. Known issue and TSB is out to replace radio. They offered to replace radio and said it was ordered. Also advised they would take care of an alignment. Note I offered to pay for the alignment multiple times.
Fast forward to five weeks without a loaner or rental car. Picked up car and it was smoking when I started it at dealership and stalled.
radio was not done
Alignywas not done
The power issue was misdiagnosed and they spent 5 weeks to only replace my fuel pump. This was not the issue.
Smoking and had to pull over otw home. Manager called me and I kinda lost my shit. Expected after 5 weeks of borrowing cars to get to work. Manager basically had nothing to say about alignment, radio or smoking. Pretty much said I don’t have to come back after calling them idiots.

A thought came to mind this morning: could we put together a spreadsheet of dealers with good service departments like Ratbert’s below-invoice spreadsheet? Maybe also a spreadsheet of dealers to avoid like the plague?

Im sorry that is happening and it sucks, but like many others have attested, it is the times of the auto industry. Record profits and insane prices for new vehicles, only to have significantly worse quality than 10 years ago. I cant wait to see what this new deal with the UAW does to vehicles prices. I'm blue collar and I am all for workers having a quality life, good living wage, and good benefits, but if you think that the manufacturers are going to lose any profit you are insane. All of the costs will be passed down to the consumer...

@Dusty Dude I could have sworn someone here had a list of Dealerships. I tried search (which everyone should before posting the same question a zillion times).

I +1 to adding a spreadsheet on Google Drive.

Sorry to hear but ford isn’t much better and might even be worse. Not only that but the long wait times and mark up for a bronco is crazy that’s why I went with jeep myself. Wanted a bronco but didn’t wanna deal with the circus

I called them...PRIOR to any repairs they admitted part was less than stellar and tentatively agreed to help with labor as I met them more than half way with my purchase of the Dorman part. There was no haggle...the initial intake man at Jeep...said I see no reason as to why we cannot meet you half way and assured me me this was doable after I asked him if he was sure as the part was going to be ordered for a Monday install....he also advised that he escalated issue and I would certainly be notified within 2 days due to escation
...that was two weeks ago.
