Jeep is getting a bad reputationMine's gonna be outta here as soon as I get it back from the body shop....if and when that ever happens. My dealer has been pretty bad to deal with through this whole thing.
They are working hard to earn it! Or do I mean hardly working?Jeep is getting a bad reputation
They're doing a bang up job of it! And I haven't had any luck with @jeepapparentlydoesn'tcareafterall either. They are working hard to earn it! Or do I mean hardly working?
People keep buying them so nothing will change. Management only care about numbers going out the back door . Believe me I know !They're doing a bang up job of it! And I haven't had any luck with @jeepapparentlydoesn'tcareafterall either.![]()
yes, this seems more common nowPosted this in another thread too but I just got off the phone with my body shop. I've been bounced from dealer to dealer over the past couple of years. This shop is telling me they aren't repainting anymore, they are instead ordering new doors, hoods, etc. Anyone else hear of this ?
I don’t know if replacing rather than repainting is now a standard but I just picked up my Wrangler an hour ago complete with new doors, hood and hinges. It came out great. The body shop manager said if the problem is in the seams they will replace the door or hood, etc.Posted this in another thread too but I just got off the phone with my body shop. This is encouraging to see. My experience is quite different. Three years old. Corrosion around every hinge on all four doors and the tailgate, the windshield frame, and the hood edge. I have about eight dealerships within 45 minutes of me. Only one would take it in to review for warranty and their wait time is eight months before it is addressed. Repeat contacts to Jeep Cares has gotten me zero. Evident from talking to the call takers that this issue is blowing up and they do not have a customer centric response And are dealing with more and more highly frustrated customers. Consider yourself very lucky. Good for you - enjoy.![]()
Me “there is a little bit of paint bubbling by the hinges. Is there anything you can do about it?“
Jeep dealer‘s body shop manager “sure…your JL is 4 years old…let’s take a look….(2 days later)….Warranty claim approved….
How about 4 new doors, new hinges, new hood and a complete paint job with lifetime warranty?”
Me “Oh…ok….Thanks…”

I’ve had a very similar poor experience. I'm convinced that Jeep really doesn’t "care". They’ve been no help, and I’ve also been trying to find a dealer for several months. They’ve got a huge mess on their hands and they know it.This is encouraging to see. My experience is quite different. Three years old.
