Upgrading from the 5" UConnect3 to 7" UConnect4?

I just put in a 7" Uconnect 4 in my JL. It came stock with the 5" Uconnect 3. I had to get a Sirius antenna since my 5" didn't have Sirius. Everything works perfect. Only problem is I'm trying up find the bezel for the 7" screen.

Awesome! Did you have to flash it? Did you order it from the factory?

No flashing. When I first installed it the climate control button was on there but it went away a few minutes later. But my ac controls are not digital so I’m not to worried. I ordered it from a Jeep dealership. 734.00 and another 42.00 for the Sirius antenna.

This is what I was expecting... I've looked all over the place for part numbers for the dash trim pieces. Haven't been successful. I even flipped through the entire Mopar catalog.

how do you turn the radio on/off without a physical button?

Does apple car play work? Could you have gotten the 8.4 inch screen ?

I'm not sure how to turn it off or on when the jeep is on, I didn't look into that yet.

Apple Car play works good. That is the reason I didn't go with the 8.4, I mean it was nice, but to spend twice the money and when it comes to NAV, I use apple carplay anyways, so that wasn't a big deal for me.

All the plugs were the same, the only thing I had to add was the Sirius antenna

when I took my trim off I looked up the part number and mopar was able to order it but it wouldn't show up in their catalog. I assume this will be the same for the trim that fits on the 7" screen. I just need someone with the 7" to pull off their trim and give me the part number. I am thinking this is the only way to get this ordered.

The trim on the 5", 7", and 8.4" radios are all different. Do you happen to have the part number for the 7" trim?

Nope. Just the 5" trim part number I was able to get for my own. Jeep said they can't find a part number either. I was hoping someone on here would remove theirs and tell us.

I'm in the same situation. I want to upgrade from UConnect 3 5" to Uconnect 4 7" or 8.4". I think if I go with the 8.4" then the bezel will not be required... I'm correct?

I called to the dealership and they mentioned me about modules that will be required if I decide to change the Radio. Anyone knows something about this?

when I ordered the 7" I was told it wouldn't work. They said if I buy it I would be resposbile for restocking fee when it didnt work...I did it anyways and it works perfet as you can see...minus the bezel
