I am the woman with 4 kids that purchased a sport thinking it had keyless entry.I gave up my SUV for this JL because I wanted something fun, something that allowed me to spend more time with my spouse and it seemed like a great way to do it as the Sport wasn't giving up much compared to my SUV.

What lead me to think the Sport would have Keyless entry when it has manual windows?
  • The window sticker said it had Keyless Enter-N-Go
  • During the test drive and showing of the Jeep I was never once handed the key.
  • The doors were all unlocked when I went to view it.
  • I was given the key AFTER I paid for the Jeep.
I did not discover the Jeep didn't have this feature until I tried to lock the doors, which wasn't right away because I park in the garage and rarely go anywhere. I was just going to deal with it for now and add it later. It wasn't until I saw this post that I decided to look into it and see what, if anything, Jeep could do. I haven't owned a Jeep since I was a teen and even then it was a Cherokee so no, I don't know all base models have manual locks. This Jeep had bluetooth, backup camera and push start so I wouldn't have guessed keyless entry to be so outside of the box for the Sport. When I spoke to Jeep (to which I did record the call) they stated that Keyless entry-n-go is unlocking the doors with the push of a button on the fob. Awesome, except my key has no buttons for unlocking or locking. Its a physical key that must go into the lock to unlock the doors. They didn't understand this as my VIN pulled up the info saying I had keyless entry. This is why I was sent to the dealer, they did not think I knew how to use it. I knew I didn't have it, I even tried to explain that I didn't have it. They still said that I should have it and it must not be working.

Monday rolls around and I go to the dealership as Jeep asked me to, they also find no keyless entry but all agree that it should be there as the window sticker and my VIN show it to be standard on my particular model. The Service Manager even pulled up information from Chrysler, separate from my specific vehicle, and found it too to have Keyless Entry listed. After an hour and over a dozen people coming to look at it they finally decided to do something. Now its Friday and he informed me that they've sent the information to Chrysler VP to be reviewed and determine an outcome. I'll update when I get more on that but clearly I'm not alone in thinking it would have what was specified.

I'm not pushing for anything more than what I purchased. I understand it would be difficult and unreasonable to install factory keyless entry on my specific Jeep but I'd at least like Jeep to realize this mistake so others like me don't run into this same issue. I'm a stay at home mom with zero Wrangler experience and limited automotive experience so I thought I'd get what it said I was going to get on the window sticker. I'm not asking for proximity entry, I know that's different from keyless entry and that's not what my sticker says anyways so why bother asking for that? Great if they wanna add it but I can do without that.
It sounds like that not even the employees and managers know what Keyless Enter n' Go is!! Even more proof that the situation should be resolved in favor of the consumer!

It looks to me like the doors are already wired. The fob is probably the same, just needs a cover with the buttons. The door lock solenoids shouldn't cost too much, dealer cost maybe $30. So power locks in the doors that work only off the upgraded fob (no door switches) would seem to me to be a reasonable compromise. Not proximity activated, but better than nothing.

It appears that Jeep may be updating the window stickers with the correct information because a new one that I saw today says keyless go rather than keyless enter and go.

Does your window sticker say Manual Door Locks? If so then you're out of luck.

You're looking at the interior. We're talking about the exterior. The same window sticker you posted shows that the exterior has the keyless enter as well as the keyless go feature. Hence the issue.

But as I mentioned in my previous post it appears that they have now corrected the issue possibly. If so then the only question that remains now is what will they do for all the people who have purchased before hand?

Pretty obvious to me from reading the sticker and the owner's manual that it refers to pushbutton ignition. But then, I'm one of those weird guys who actually reads that stuff.

You are correct. I also read the entire manual when it was leaked on this forum. How many buyers ever read the manual? Heck, some dealers don’t even give you a hard copy. You expect buyers to read the owner’s manual even before purchasing the vehicle? I read my Honda manual before purchasing and the salesman thought I was a nut. Of course I knew more about my vehicle than the salesman.

FCA realized they screwed up that’s why they are now stating Keyless Go on the window stickers. Keyless Enter ‘n Go = passive entry on all other FCA vehicles.

FCA is attempting to trademark “Keyless Go” as well.

New window sticker.

The question is will they add it to the people that should have it? I have a Sahara with the push to start but not enter and go button on the door.

Just see one at the dealer exact same model as me with the button on the door. Kind of piss now.

Does your window sticker state Keyless Enter ‘n Go anywhere on the sticker? I believe this was only a mistake on the Sport models.

You have to pay extra for the passive entry ($400?). It’s only an available option on the Sahara and Rubicon models.

If your window sticker states Keyless Enter ‘n Go then you have a valid complaint same as OP.

It sure does. Well you need to take that up with FCA. They list a feature that is not installed on your vehicle, same as OP. Some here might argue that your remote unlock works as Keyless Enter n Go, but Keyless Enter n Go is truly passive entry as described in these Jeep videos. No need to ever touch your key fob.

So my understanding is all the Sahara model and Rubicon should have the button by default?
So could it just be the factory that put the wrong handle on my jeep?

If you are referring to the button on the door handle, then no. Only vehicles with the “remote proximity keyless entry” $495 option currently only available on Sahara and Rubicon will have it. It is not standard equipment. It would be listed under optional equipment. The push button start ignition is standard equipment on all Sport, Sahara and Rubicon.

Keyless Enter n Go has two components. The proximity entry (button on door handle) and push button start ignition.

Jeep screwed up and lists Keyless Enter n Go as standard equipment when in reality it is only Keyless Go (push button start) that is standard. The Keyless Enter is optional. Jeep has updated the window sticker from Keyless Enter n Go to simply Keyless Go as it should have been all along.

I just picked up a new 2018 Ocean Blue Sport JL on Saturday. The window sticker states that the vehicle is supposed to be equipped with Keyless Enter 'n Go. I place my hand, with the fob in my pocket, on the door handle and the door won't open. Am I doing something wrong?

UPDATE: JEEP HAS AGREED TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT. I WILL POST THE RESOLUTION ONCE THE WORK IS FINISHED.
Definition of Keyless Enter n Go on the new Wrangler straight from the horses mouth. Let’s put all speculation to rest and admit Jeep screwed up the window stickers.

How many times must I say this. When I say Manual door locks, I am also but not directly saying, No Flippin Power locks at all. There is no distinction between, "Interior" and "Exterior" locks, one door has one lock. If its power, its power, if its manual, its manual.

Update: Keyless Enter n' Go will be removed from all future stickers. They are getting so many complaints it is now at corporate review level so that everyone will get the same resolution. I will keep everyone posted!
