2.0 coolant top off frequency

Add me to the list. I ran across this thread this evening. I checked and my reservoir level is barely touching the dip stick with the cap screwed all the way on.
I have 32,000 on it so I don't think it's a problem. Air pockets being worked out when new and evaporation since then would probably cause the low level I have. I ordered a gallon of the MS-12106 coolant.
Since I was checking, I checked other levels. My power steering reservoir is right on the low mark.
So while I had Amazon up I ordered a pint of the Mopar electric steering pump fluid. They be proud of that stuff....

Same here….I read this post so I though I’d go check mine just out of curiosity….5000 miles on it, I figured it would be fine, Nope it is practically empty. Now I have to go on a coolant search.

Hey. Same story with my 2019 2.0. Water got so low it took about 1/2 gallon to fill it back up. Problem is, now my heat won’t blow out cold. Anybody else having this problem? Could it be air locked?

Here's another theory. Is it possible the oat coolant is permeating through hoses? I know not to use silicone hoses unless coolant checking is done since silicone allows the coolants water portion to permeate through.

It might work. I'd have to do the research. My thinking, the problem would be mixing the two coolants.
If you were flushing the system then using the Preston, that would be a different story.
Like I mentioned, I'm not sure.

Coincidentally, I was shopping coolant this morning. To a brand, each label included a performance disclaimer. All of them require a full system flush, prior to refilling with the coolant in question, for the owner to qualify for the performance/mileage guarantee.

Just added 9 fl oz (almost 1/3 qt) to my reservoir. ? It was topped off 5 weeks ago. Checked it cold today and it was almost to the Min mark.

Just an update on mine. After the original large fill right after I got her and two subsequent smaller top offs mine seems to be holding her own.

Sadly, now paranoid, I check her everytime I drive her. Probably gonna wear out the coolant cap.

Talking vehicles with my devoted, long time MOPAR BIL at Thanksgiving, was talking about having to refill and he said, verbatim:

Was before my time, but I remember my Mom talking about their new 80s Cutlass that kept "running" after you shut it off.

I checked mine after 2500 miles and it was to the bottom of the dipstick and I filled the reservoir. Checked at 3000 miles and it was at the bottom again and I refilled again. Checked a few days ago at 3500 miles and it is still full. Someone had stated in an earlier post that it could be air in the system from the initial fill, and I'm beginning to wonder if that was the case for mine. I too, am paranoid now and check it almost everyday before I leave work.

I check mine everyday, paranoid just like you.

Mine was similar to yours. Not even on the dipstick, 16 oz fill the first time, prob 8 oz the second, staying pretty much the same every since, maybe down a little. The level changes based on temp too I've noticed.

Do you have any more info on that campaign? I have a 2021 but it doesn’t show as applying for my VIN.
