I have welded on numerous pieces of equipment with sensitive electronic systems. The trick is to ground your welding lead as close as possible to what is being welded. The current will only pass between the electrode and the ground.

I've traded without a title before. The dealership has the means to request a replacement title. You'll have to sign a piece of paper and may have to pay for the replacement cost. Ask the dealer you plan to trade with as I'm only assuming most dealers will do this.

Get it fixed. I have repairs made often. Insurance always picks up the cost and they come to my house to do the repair. Easy peasy.

In our state, You run it over, it's yours. In years past, the kill had to be reported and it belonged to the state. Deer population exploded and the state changed its mind. We have one on ice now, killed with a rifle, ha. I'll be processing it in a day or so.
