Thought it would be worth mentioning.

Wranglers with the All-Wheel-Drive T-case are paired with a factory axle that does not have a 2pc axle and FAD.

Jeep would likely not offer the AWD t-case if they expected heavy driveline vibrations from the front axle geometry. (my assumption is the geometry between the FAD and non-FAD axles is the same)
Of course not, except caster is already low from the factory. Then you start lifting. If you dial your caster in where it should be (around 6.5°) there is a very strong possibility of introducing driveline vibrations. Yes, Jeep failed with the design on these front axles.

I have a 2021 392 Wrangler with the Metalclak 3.5" Game Changer lift with no FAD. Front driveshaft turns all the time. I have my castor set at 6.2 and run the Metalcloak front driveshaft. I have zero vibration.

It’s not something that will happen to everyone, it’s something that can happen. That’s why Adams adds the disclaimer. Just realize that if your caster is 6.2, your front pinion angle is not ideal.

The Metalcloak front driveshaft has a double cardan joint that is designed for higher working angles, instead of the cv joint on the factory shaft that isn't designed for as much working angle.

But it's at the transfer case side. The problem is at the pinion on the axle. That angle gets to be too steep and that's when you get vibrations.

Tom Woods (and maybe others) build a double ended double cardan driveshaft. That would solve the vibration problem.

Stock 21 Rubicon I measured caster at 5 degrees. No vibes.

Added Mopar lift LCAs which are about 1/4” - 3/8” longer than stock. I measured caster at 7 degrees. No vibes.

Installed 2.5” MC GC suspension and front DS. They recommend stock LCA length and shortening the top 1/2”. I instead shortened the top 1/4” and lengthened the bottom 1/4”. Caster measures 6 degrees. No vibes.

Stock at 5 degrees was a bit darty. Both 7 and 6 degrees tracks straight and true to 80+ mph.

YMMV

Not sure. I would never use them.
Any particular reason why not? I've been considering them, but I'm new to all this.

Because they reduce ground clearance, which is the opposite of what my mods do. They tend to get hung up in the rocks as well.
Got it -- that was my suspicion. Thanks for the advice!

Yes, Jeep failed with the design on these front axles.
The Jeep bean counters disagree. 99% of sales never lift and do serious off road. Now that you can order a Bronco with 37's, Jeep will be forced to offer a 37" package, and the engineers will need to rethink the JMR (next generation).
