Did I get the wrong color Blue??

I ordered my 2022 JL Unlimited Sport S in February. I built it all out on the Jeep site, chose Hydro Blue Pearl-Coat based on the pictures on the site. That's pretty much the whole reason I got this car is because I loved the color:

This to me looks like a light blue. Now I'm seeing images of Hydro Blue wranglers online and it is NOT this color, it's more like a navy color blue. I'm gonna be driving quite a few hours to go pick this up when it comes in, have obviously put a deposit down ... am I not getting the color that I thought I was getting? I'm gonna be so sad if I show up and it's a dark blue

Some of the pictures I see look much darker and some of them look like the right color. Are there multiple types of Hydro Blue?

Hydro Blue IS a light blue. You are going to like it.

You might be seeing Ocean Blue. It's darker than Hydro.

Have you come across a Hydro Blue Wrangler on either a dealer's lot or driving around?

In person is the only way you'll be able to really see what it looks like.

If you see one with painted fenders and top it'll probably have a different appearance then one without.

It's not teal like the pictures on the website. Here's a picture of one that I saw here on the forum that I think shows its true color well. I can't wait for mine to arrive!

You can't go by the digital renders on the Jeep site. Or even pics you find on the internet. Different cameras. Different lighting. Even what you are viewing them on can change the appearance. Hydro Blue is a medium blue. Chief Blue is a light blue.

Hydro Blue IS a light blue. You are going to like it.

I don't mean to be a contrarian, but Hydro Blue doesn't seem (to me) to be quite as light as OP's original picture, particularly because that picture seems to lighten more and more as it gets towards the top (a large amount of ambient light reflection going on). But I wouldn't call a Hydro Blue a dark blue either.

Odd thing about my own Hydro Blue JLUR. I got it because it was the only suitable vehicle in stock. It's everyone else who's always telling me how much they love the color. But I suspect that unsolicited compliments such as these are common amongst Wrangler owners?

There are tens of thousands of Hydro Blue Wranglers on the streets. It was even offered on the JK. The picture that jeninchicago posted above is very accurate for how it “usually“ looks. Wonderful color.

Edit: Don’t confuse it with Ocean Blue, which was much closer to navy. Here are the two side by side.

Damn. It's definitely not what I thought it was going to be. You guys are right, there is the ocean blue which is way darker, and this looks to be a more medium blue. What the website kinda depicts and what I expected I guess is more like the Chief Blue. I'm really bummed now. I mean the blue looks okay. But not that excited anymore

Jeep website is so bad... Especially the color rendering. They should have real jeep picture at the end of the build instead of their ugly 3d image.

Yea, the picture doesn't really look anything like the actual color now that I see enough of them, in my opinion. I understand you can't go by a rendering by that is pretty far off if you ask me

I had the same reservations about Snazz when I ordered it. Nothing gives it the proper color besides seeing it in person. I've seen Hydro on a Gladiator around here. It is a mix of blues. I bet you'll be happily surprised once you see it in the direct light.
