Thanks for the report. You are the first person I've heard from that has had the recall done. When you say "The clutch feels like a normal clutch now, seems easier to drive." can you say in what way it feels different?
I too have a base Sport with a MT. When you say "connected services" are "disconnected" on yours, I didn't know ours had any "connected services"; or do you mean they were disconnected when manufactured?

Take a good look at a 2-door with the back seat up, folded down, and if possible completely out. Now if the cargo space works for you, go with the 2-door - way more fun to drive and much more agile.
I custom ordered a 2012 BMW X3 for my wife. They provided me with an email that linked to a video of our car actually being built (in Spartanburg, South Carolina) as it went down the assembly line. That was cool; but I doubt they do that any more.
Yup, my Jeep is my daily driver. I like it around town because, as a 2-door, its so agile and easy to park, and I don't have to worry about pot holes etc. We use my wife's BMW SUV for long distance out of town trips.
I assume you mean "clutch". I haven't heard of any problems with the "transmission". In fact, I think it's the best manual ever offered on a Jeep; and I've owned many different models of manual Jeeps over the years.
True I'm not crazy about the feel of the JL clutch, but it does work...
I agree with you that modern auto transmissions are excellent and reliable; however I still detest driving any automatic. Running them in "manual" mode is just not nearly as satisfying as driving a 3-pedal stick.
