Just like just about EVERY post in all the Bronco bashing threads from folks that haven't even seen one much less driven one. Including even your post making a claim that one won't be for sale on a lot with ZERO FACTS. It is the internet. All it is are opinions with very little facts. The difference has become is that if the opinion expressed isn't the opinion of most then the bashing commences. It is the new 2020. If you don't agree with the narrative, well then you must be ignorant and wrong.

I don't disagree with you and I edited my post before you posted. Plus I'm not bashing Bronco. I am glad it has all this hype. Probably wouldn't have the 392 or Recon package without it. Competition is good.

It's August 2021 and you can't get a 2021 Bronco on the lot or even if you reserved one so the FACT is it will probably be year(s) before you see a Bronco on a Lot...

This is the key point that Jeepers need to keep in mind. Jeep had been stingy af with major upgrades to the Wrangler until it smelled Bronco in the water.

You don't have to drive the new Bronco to know how it will drive on road and off. People are arguing like it's some revolutionary new vehicle. Solid rear axle and short arm ifs, it will drive like an fj Cruiser, 4runner, or wk grand Cherokee both on and off road. The 2 door nearly identical to the fj due to wheelbase. The 4 door will be more 4 runner or Ford ranger like. The drivetrain isn't even new. With the lockers, sway bar disconnect, and 35's it will be very capable, just like a 4runner built the same way. It will never flex like a wrangler. It will feel tippy in off camber situations. It will carry a tire in the air far more often than jeep drivers are used to. They didn't reinvent the physics of off roading. It's a fairly built 4runner, but without Toyota quality.

Nothing but boasting, speculation and opinion came out of their mouths for months. In fact, we were called “fanboys” for saying to wait for the vehicle to be released. I do not disagree with this at all. Most posts haven't stopped here. They continue (without driving one, seeing one driven or even driving one themselves) bashing the other things about the Bronco and its capabilities. BTW my OPINION is that I will wait to make judgement when I actually see one. I do know for a FACT how my Jeep JL owner experience has been and that is what I will use to compare and make a judgement on the Bronco. I will ASSUME that the Bronco will be able to do everything my JL and MY DRIVING ABILITY will be able to do just fine. I also ASSUME that will be the same for just about all the Jeep JL owners except for the very small few who are crazy rock crawler/Moab type owners. Then the Bronco will not be for them and they truly will be able to say the Jeep is far better for them. Then again there will always be something better and those folks probably will step up to a full on rock crawler buggy.

My assumptions are the same as yours... reading your post... well, it is clear to me that we both have lets call it.... this thing in the proper prospective.

Also ..... I know for me, a longtime (and I mean a long time) Jeep owner and recently, having been spending lots of time with a terrific, 2 dr. Bronco squash, working on it, driving it, pawing over it..... that my next vehicle will probably be a 2 dr. hardtop, Bronco squash.

Of course, a lot may change in the world in regard to vehicles being offered and availability, so my direction is subject to change..

In regard to change.... though I enjoy my 2 dr. Rubi JL (I have enjoyed many vehicles over my lifetime) and know it quite well.... and have 50,000+ miles on it.... well, I'm ready for a new ride..

Comments like this are hilarious and based solely off your personal feelings with absolutely zero facts. Plus it will be years before you will see a Bronco for sale on a lot. By that time Jeep will have the Recon

I had a Black Diamond on reserve since 7/20 and for me the Bronco release is underwhelming compared to how I felt about it on Instagram last year. However my wife wants to trade her Sequioa in for one eventually which makes more sense.

But then again, my decision is based off my personal feelings. I guess we will see

Considering I'm the OP, and the post was literally "Test Drove a Bronco Wildtrack," I'm not sure how that qualifies for "zero facts." (Not to mention the research done through watching and reading reviews). And you are right about personal feelings. Who in this world has not bought a vehicle based on personal feelings? That was a funny comment.

Many people feel their personal worth is tied in the brands they love, and that's why companies work so hard to create a brand. It creates loyalty and skews views towards anything not that brand. Think Apple vs Samsung - Playstation vs Xbox - Mustang vs Camaro - BMW vs Mercedes - Ford vs Chevy vs Ram (Trucks) - Coke vs Pepsi, and yes, Bronco vs Wrangler. These companies push out Halo products, so the brand perception lies with the highest end product, and even if a lower end product doesn't have the same features, there is a cognitive association, leading people to feel the product they have is better than it really is.

These products have a different flavor that one person may dislike, and another person will love, but when it comes down to it, it's the same dang thing. I can see many people enjoying the Bronco flavor over Wrangler, and others preferring Wrangler over Bronco. To think that it won't pull sales and customers from Jeep is hubristic.

I own a Jeep CJ and a JLU, so obviously I love Jeeps. I enjoy moderate trails, but I drive to work, and I drive my family around on the weekends. I even have to drive 2 hours to get to an ORV park. I like comfy seats, and something that drives in a straight line.. It is very possible my JLU will be one of those sitting in the used vehicles at a Ford dealership.

I'd note too that the sales atrophy for Jeep will not come from the "hardcore" models that Stellantis is pushing out (Rubicon, 392, Extreme Recon). It will come from the rest, considering the vast majority of drivers have a Jeep to drive on the road. Stellantis knows this, and that is why they are trying to come out with Halo after Halo for their Wrangler brand.

The best part - It's OK! People can prefer the Bronco to the Wranger! People can prefer the Wrangler to the Bronco! This world is beset with the affliction of bifurcated thought, and attacking those with differing opinions. I aspire not to be one of them.

I don’t think that is quite fair. Jeep did the Diesel and the 4Xe before there was a Bronco. They also did the one touch top. Those are pretty major features that were not driven by the Bronco.
