Nice Job @Greyhound!! General Question: Is there a concern for the longevity of the compressors when not mounted upright? I see a lot mounted on their sides, etc. Just curious if that creates any issues.

I realize your Jeep is diesel, but Is that electric motor rated as explosion proof? If not, locating it next to your fuel filler neck might not be the best idea, especially if you have a gas engine.

The same thing crossed my mind. Or maybe somehow introducing gas/diesel vapors when filling the tires.
Could you mount it on the passenger side instead? Could be an option.

If your fuel fill system isn’t leaking, the likelihood of fire/explosion is as close to nothing as it can be. It’s just not a realistic concern.
If your fuel fill system is leaking, and you’re still driving it in areas where you’ll need to use the air compressor - well, you probably aren’t the sharpest tool in the shed and we’ll just call it a splash of chlorine in the gene pool.
