Any update on this?
Spoke to tech support at Dana Spicer and they use the following part on each of their axles and it works with the UD60 axles. I believe those also use the Eaton lockers so maybe they’d work with other axle manufacturers as well. It’s a pricey part though. $400 and you need 2 of them. I’ll probably just get an A Pillar auxiliary switch and wire them up to that. Also, Dana said you need to have the Tazer to change the axle locker settings.

Just something that struck me about this thread was the discussion about "adequate voltage" for a locker solenoid. I'm not an electrical engineer, but my recollection is a coil electro-magnet is very tolerant of voltage but needs adequate current (amps).

After doing some reading, it appears that for a given coil, voltage and current are joined. That is, to get more current, you need more voltage. So, my statement above is incorrect.

I emailed z automotive about this June 12, 2024 and this was there reply
Hi Cr,
sorry for the delay on this, production is starting next week on the heavier gauge wiring for the Z-Locker controllers and in the next few weeks will be making an announcement once they will be available for purchase from our site. Essentially replacing the current product.

Make sure to follow any of our social media channels and as soon as the announcement is made you will get the notification too.

Did they say anything about trading in an earlier version of the Z-locker ?

This part is now listed for anywhere from $750 to over $1000, depending on where you buy. You would need 2 of these for front and rear lockers. Rediculous.

I am running the z-locker harness on my 21 Rubicon to activate my UD 60’s from the factory switch and they have worked flawlessly every time I’ve needed them. I guess I will need to follow this.

I should have asked that but did not. I am sure they will want the receipt as well which I no longer have available. The one I have now appears to work I just get the flashing locker light. I plan to test it this weekend.

If you bought online, there should be a record.

Received the new zlocker controler, (the heavier gauge wire version) today and it works with my eaton electric locker in my dana 60. No dash lights flashing everything shows locked.

Which harness? OEM or the other?

Are all of you guys running electric lockers? I'm mainly wondering about the speed of the axle locking and unlocking. In my F-350 the factory rear locker takes a split second to engage and it never has an issue unlocking. Getting locked and unlocked in the JL is another matter entirely. So kinda curious if it is a hardware or software issue I guess. Is it the locker itself? Is it the logic behind the sensors and when the computer will allow the signal to go through? A bit of both?

I'd like to use the Z-Locker and utilize the factory switch to run an ARB. But I have yet to see anyone post about that particular success story...

I have dynatrac 60s with the elocker and I have been using the Z-Locker Controller for years. I don't recall having issues with them engaging/releasing.
