Z-Locker Controller work with Eaton Lockers?

Looking into getting aftermarket axles and would like to use the factory locker switch.

Z Automotive has a product called Z-Locker Controller which claims to put out 12v for aftermarket lockers like the Eaton.

However, I’m hearing the factory system puts out a pulsed signal and not a constant 12v.

Currie even states that using an aftermarket locker harness will void the Eaton warranty.

Not sure if there’s anyone here with Z Automotive that can clear this up. Here’s some screen shots from Z Automotive and Curries website.

Seems like something you’d want to reach out to Z automotive for. I’m sure they can answer all of your questions.

I was wondering the same thing. Dana, Dynatrac, Fusion all offer Eaton lockers but don’t mention anything about voiding their warranty like Currie does. I was also curious if the Auburn lockers work with the factory switch and Z Automotive adapters. Might be the better option.

I sent Z-Automotive an email today. Hopefully they reply in a few days and I’ll be able to report back what they say.

Z Automotive emailed me back and confirmed that they don’t have a product that can make aftermarket axles work with the OEM locker switch.

On another note I spoke to Dana Spicer aftermarket and they have a product that can make the OEM switch work with aftermarket axles however I can’t find any in stock for sale.

Does anyone have any experience with this product?

To "bypass" the OEM internal locker module when it fails and turn off the "Service Axle" warning light.

I asked Z Automotive to have the ability to remap the offroad plus button like how you can remap the Sway bar kill to one of the cruise control buttons using the Tazer. If I didn’t lose the Offroad Plus feature by changing out the OEM locker switch to the @Lasfit locker control panel I would just go that route when upgrading axles.

It wouldn’t. It’s the locker that doesn’t like the pulsed signal from the OEM switch.

Right, I’m saying you should be able to use this with aftermarket lockers like an ARB no matter what axle they are in. You said z automotive said these wouldn’t work with aftermarket axles.
