  1. Crystal Rubi build…

I agree, my Jeep is fully cloaked out but I run Rock Crawler front and rear spring isolators.
  2. Aux Bypass Jeep still shuts down at stop

All you did was remove the aux battery from the 12 volt system. The start stop function is independent of that. You will need to hit the deactivate button each time you start it. The better option is to run something like the Wrangler JL SmartStopStart module which will give the button memory so...
  3. Winch disconnect switch ideas...

It’s a personal preference. 26 years in the fire service and I have been to hundreds of car accidents and vehicle fires. Not one time during our investigation into the cause did I ever suspect a winch cable as the culprit. That said, I see no reason not to do it if it gives someone peace of...
  4. Is there a way to have your fog lights stay on when you have your high beams on

Jscan also has a setting for that. I used it to allow them to work together.
  5. Anyone running a 38 inch spare???

Ha! It does. That was actually compliments of my spotters.
  6. Anyone running a 38 inch spare???

Here is a picture of my 38” Patagonia. I have no problem with the look or functionality off road.
  7. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

It’s the dry version. I am not a fan of the oil bath versions like the K&N.
  8. What did you do WITH your Jeep today.

Returned from another great trip. Hit, Last Chance Canyon, Calico, Copper Cache trail in Vegas and Red Rocks. I went with some friends who were new to spotting so I ended up having to do some creative recoveries because they put me in a bad situation doing the V-notch in Last Chance and in the...
  9. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Changed my S&B air filter. The old one had a hard dusty 20,000 miles. I was very impressed that the inside of the old filter was just as clean as the new one. The intake tube was also dust free and looked just as good as the day I installed it. These filters definitely keep out the dust.
  10. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Packed the jeep up for a 5day trip to Last Chance Canyon, Calico, Red Rocks NV and Valley of Fire NV.
  11. Okay, had these installed and something isn’t right…

The lower adjustable arms are used to center the axle in the wheel well. Depending on the tire size there is a small amount of forward or backward adjustment for tire clearance. I usually center the bump stop to the spring pad with the lower arms so I know the axle is perfectly centered. Then...
  12. Okay, had these installed and something isn’t right…

Thanks, I am sorry to see all the damage, not to mention the loss of your time dealing with it. That’s the very reason I started doing all of my own work. It is very difficult to find good quality these days. I took the jeep out for a test drive and it was an immediate night and day difference ...
  13. Okay, had these installed and something isn’t right…

I just installed a set of Metalcloak ball joints on my friends jeep last night. Took about 6 hours taking my time. They are definitely a quality product. I thought I would share a few tips. The lower ball joint does not sit completely flat against the C when installed. You will have a very small...
  14. Okay, had these installed and something isn’t right…

That bolt holds the ABS sensor bracket. Just snug it by hand and it should be fine.
  15. Does anyone who runs without a spare regret it?

I debated that myself since I carry a 38” spare. I have extra valve stems, both normal and sidewall patch kits. I have never had a flat. A recent trip in the dark, 3 hours up a difficult trail in the Death Valley area my buddy got a flat with brand new Goodyears. I thought no problem until I...
  16. My journey to UD 60 axles

Thanks, I have had the 6pak shocks on two jeeps now and I really like them. They allow an amazing amount of flex. Other than one small issue with the schrader valve on one shock that was quickly repaired by Metalcloak , they have been trouble free. I do have to occasionally top them off with...
  17. My journey to UD 60 axles

I thought I would do a brief discussion on adding UD 60’s to my Rubicon. There were a few things that I was trying to research when preparing and I wanted to share a few of those here because I couldn’t find clear answers. My journey started when I decided to go from 35” tires to 38”. I went...
  18. 37's Hitting rear inner fender.

I understand that you have the proper back spacing. I would just replace your liners with an aluminum one of your choice and if that doesn’t work, you might consider the above post. Mine required both. Good luck
  19. 37's Hitting rear inner fender.

Other options to consider are as follows. Do you have adjustable control arms. If so, you can play with the axle center point. Just be weary of the spring bow. I spent about 1 hour adjusting my control arms centering my axle perfectly, followed by using a jack to push the tire up into the wheel...
