What’s funny is I find myself not hating the CVT. I know it’s a weak point, reliability wise, which is why it’s nice that the Wilderness includes a transmission cooler. I also plan on changing the fluid every 30k just to be on the safe side. Fouled trans fluid is what seems to grenade these Subaru CVTs.Honestly the CVT is the weakest link in the Subie drivetrain. A proper slushbox and some traction control tuning and it wouldn't be as bad as it is for proper trails. Wouldn't be a Jeep, but would be better than it sits currently.
