Don't get me wrong guy, I think the renegades are cute, and I would totally buy one and put a ridiculous lift on it with 32-in tires. But they first have to make it with a rear locker like the Broncos Sport Badlands have. I mean, a Trailhawk and it doesn't even have a locker in the rear???

Though I understand what RATM was getting at, and I understand how cool this song actually is now, the Jeep renegade is like how rage against the machine fans felt when this song first came out, they were like...

I mean take a really purpose-driven built Wrangler, built four off-roading, before the Rubicon was a thing, remake it into a shitty four banger with no off-road capabilities. It's like what a slap in the face!!

Well, I'm not exactly Lovin it like Ronald Macdonald Loves his fries but I think there are worse vehicles out there. I actually saw one of those little rascals on a beginner Jeep trail, surprisingly it was doing quite well. I like some of the Mods people are doing to some of them. I think some people are like " hey bro! Technically I own a Jeep, all I need is some tasty obstacles, a cool buzz and I'll be fine off-road." ?

The guy that shoehorned in a Hemi and likely a complete drivetrain must have had a Cool Buzz. The laws of diminishing returns on mods went into overdrive on this one.

But I gotta admit it would be a real “Sleeper” ?……. — I freely admit, however, had he done it to a Wrangler or CJ, my response would be

The Renegade trim was started in 1971 according to this article. October 1992: The origins of the Jeep Renegade name (autoweek.com) The article describes the trim which included chrome wheels.

That was the AMC era...ugh.

Alas — the first upgrade Jeep trim from a simpler pre-decal days is shunned. Only chrome hood badges- bumper- drop down license plate holder- tail lamps- windshield clamp catches- hubcaps, and even a column shift. 61–68

even given their own CJ5a & 6a designation in 64. Without decals nobody cares. ?
