Xtreme Recon on 2 doors

Playing around with the configurator. I don't see XR package for 2 doors on Rubicon nor Willys. Any reason why?

You will have to do your own, which sucks no idea why they can't move it to other trims.

Well maybe not sucks if you enjoy doing that stuff.

Clayton 1.5 liftkit will be similar but a lot better than the XR package. It'll net you about 2.25inch on the 2 door according to Clayton. It will ride better and you can pair it with nice shocks and flex more. Now that you can get 4.88s from the factory. If buying a Rubicon I'd just ignore the XR package.

Jeep probably deems it to be a roll over risk and/or it wont pass NHTSA crash tests.

I'm a parts swapper, so my new rubi will end up a 2dr recon clone at some point lol I already have the xr flares coming along with the red seatbelts for the front. It just kills me I can't have what I want unless it's 4 doors. Just like the 2dr sahara there is no reason that can't be a thing still. Europe got them but the birthplace of the jeep didn't? Sorry but not all of us want huge 4 door monstrosities, my other car is a mini lol it's just me and the lady. Why do I need all these doors just to have a nice interior

Well...I had a CJ7 that had a 360 dropped in it, and I'll tell ya what, nobody's got any business putting that much power in a 2 door jeep, a d I'm sure the modern 392 would blow the doors off that 360. It was t even a hot motor

I could squeal the tires on 3rd gear.

You have to order the 4xE to get the 2 door XR.

Just kidding of course. You can and should just build your own version. The factory warranty part would be nice but not essential. If you can get the gearing from the factory do that, if you want warranty on shocks and springs you can have the dealership install the Mopar lift. There are pros and cons to everything of course. I’ve had no issues with the Mopar lift but did eventually add a bunch of Teraflex adjustable parts to strengthen it though that was just part of my build ethos rather than a necessity.

If you do build an XR clone, the 392 non-XR Fox shocks have more travel with about the same compressed length... and they're Fox.

The stock modern 3.6L makes more hp than a stock 360 did back in the day.
