I just received and installed my RokBlokz for my 21 JLUR. I agree with CO Jeep above about the logo but with the black on black you have to look real hard to see the logo. Really like them so far but no rain and/or snow to test them out yet in sunny/windy NM
Did you get the RokBlokz XL or the regular for your jeep? And I'm assuming you have the Xtreme Recon package as well.

I was going to get the weathertech ones, but I have been going back and forth with customer service because they don't understand that my High Tide Edition is not a High Altitude. I need to work around the rock rails and the fender extension because it has the Xtreme Recon.

Thanks

Just to clarify...are there any flaps that work on a Rubicon with the factory installed MOPAR Performance Rock Rails? IF so, could someone please let me know which ones work?
Hi,

None work out of the box, the Rubicon weathertech can be made to work but you have to cut a hole out for the wider rails.

Believe the Rokblokz flaps can be made to work as well but again have to cut them out for the larger rails.

I have the WeatherTech on my 22 JLUR and the wider performance sliders as well as installed the XR flares here is a few pictures or look for my previous post

The more careful you cut them the less mud leaks through, but does help with road spray.

I got the regular Rokblokz as my Jeep is a standard JLUR. Hope that helps!

Subscribed. I also have a High Tide edition and I'm looking for the best mud flap solution. Would prefer the Weather Tech route as they look more factory than the RokBlokz.

I am thinking about getting mud flaps. I haven’t picked up my Jeep yet, but I was wondering how they effect the way you off road. I would think they would get torn up on rocks and rough terrain. Is that not the case?

I will let you know how everything works out but I needed the Rubicon WeatherTech Mudflaps for my High Tide even though the High Tide is based on the Sport S base. I worked with Extreme Terrain to return just the front for the Sport S since the rear were already installed on my vehicle but I ordered them as a set. The front show up this week so let's hope the front fit as expected.

So it sounds like you'll end up with the 100100 front flaps and 120099 rear flaps. Is that correct? Please update the thread with your findings. I was going to go ahead and order them, but sounds like you're further along in the experiment so I'll wait with bated breath :)

i'm very happy with the xl rokblokz on my JLUR. i prefer the harder angles of the rokblokz rather than the softer curves on the weathertechs. both would do the job very well, it's just a matter of how you like the appearance.

How was the rear install? Their website says they don't work with the steel bumpers

Hi,

Rears work with steel bumpers, but you might have to trim the bumper fillers on the underside of the Jeep as they contact the flap in the following areas

Thanks y’all for this thread, I installed the weathertechs today. They fit perfect and give a serious build look to the Jeep.

After wheeling in the country, I realized how much rocks the big K02s throw at the rear fenders. The PPF did its job but was damaged at 5-6 spots.

So I went back to my PPF guy who replaced the film with thicker one for free. So before it got damaged again, I was looking for a solution.

I reinstalled my Sahara steps, but they look in your face hideous when you are used to look at the Jeep with the rock sliders. I just couldn’t stand their sight. Being 6’1’’ with a grown family of tall people, The steps don’t get used and all they do is dirty our pant legs going in or out of the Jeep. The only time I find the steps useful is when clearing snow off the roof. But one step and I’m standing on the rear tire anyway?‍♂

With this said, I like the look of them. From 3/4 front or rear they are hardly noticeable and I’m sure people following me will appreciate

The bottom two from the liner should be pretty easy with the trim removal tool, the other rivet I used a small drill bit to the center of the rivet, then used the trim removal tool to pull it out. Stay patient, I hope that helps!

This tool is also helpful if you are willing to wait for delivery.

The rivets you drilled out are steel and marked below right? thanks.
