Okay I am stumped ! FCA thinks Jeep owners are all Einsteins !

Arent you the guy who peeks into the garage, several times a night ,to check on your jeep ?

I mean it's really not an issue. Who cares if it says auto or not? I don't see how this is worth anybodies time trying to get fixed under warranty.
I actually totally agree, and I agree with OP's point that it makes him wonder about other buttons and switches.

In this particular case I wouldn't care but I've driven some of the aforementioned GM vehicles with the switch labels gone and it can be annoying and even mildly problematic if you're not very familiar with the vehicle.

TL;DR I hope this doesn't happen to other switches that are less intuitive

Several? No, not several...
A few then.
It was a damn funny post you made some time ago. I think the thread was " do you turn to look at your jeep , after you park it ? "

Doc... Duh.
When you buy an SUV that can be anywhere from 30 to over 60k and the labels for the buttons are so cheap they smear off I would be pretty pissed.

This is a level of cheap you wouldn’t find in the crappiest of today’s most inexpensive cars.

If they don’t want to put labels on them then that’s fine. But just wow. I have never in any car I’ve owned ever seen such cheap crap as smeared off buttons.

Who gives a shit? Are you going to forget that they’re auto-down if there’s not a label to remind you?

I would care. Sure I know what all the buttons in my car do but having them written with crayon in a 50k car would piss me off.

That’s just embarrassingly bad.

Wow ! This is a polarizing thread ! Who'd a thunk !
The Jeep is not a quality vehicle . I think everyone knows that. Not sure there should be any expectations. We have been driving Japanese and German cars for years without issue . I am firmly braced for what may lie ahead with 2 FCA products. Hey my $1500 radio hasnt worked since mile 300. Buckle up and hang on.

Here’s the thing though, jeeps aren’t $50k cars. They’re $27k jeeps with $23k worth of options. The quality of a lot of the little bits and details are going to be the same as the base models.
