Quick question guys, one of the two wires that is used to heat up the rear window came off. I have 0 clue as to how, have yet to pack my jeep up to a point where something would push against the point of contact that wire makes to the window or snag the wire off. I'm curious if anyone has experienced this issue or has heard or read somewhere on this forum of this issue (can't seem to find any threads on this).

Mine came off too and my car has been at the dealership since April 30th. I took it there because of the defroster, death wobble and the steering issue thatā€™s common. The dealership has been waiting on a rear window to come in for 4 weeks! I called the dealer last week and was told Jeep has provided an alternative to fixing the defroster without replacing the entire window and was told I should get my car back this weekend. I wonā€™t hold my breath

Hi Jeepy Jeepy,
We're sorry to hear that you have experienced this. A TSB (08-037-19) was released that appears to address concerns similar to the symptoms that you are having with your JL. To ensure this TSB applies, please visit your preferred dealer to have a qualified technician review the details of this TSB and specifics of your vehicle. At that time, the technicians will perform the repair procedure that best matches the symptoms and diagnosis of your vehicle. If you need any additional assistance throughout this process, please send our team a private message!

Holy. Since the end of April??? I've heard of folks using a sort of compound that allows for electricity to pass through as opposed to waiting for a new rear window from the dealership. Hope you get your Jeep back soon!

This has been happening to me since I bought my Rubicon in 2018. It's now happened to me 7 times. Out of the 7 times they replaced the glass 3 times and it falls off 2-4 weeks later. It's clearly a flawed design on the 2018 and up jeeps. I've been fighting with Chrysler for months because they keep charging me deductibles. The only way they will service this as recalls is if everyone starts open Chrysler service tickets. Lets get it started. This will be my last Jeep if they don't recall it and keep giving me the run around This is my 2nd wrangler and a grand Cherokee in the past - Never had this problem with any of the others.

The best part is, when I told the Chrysler lady this is known big issue sine they released the JL, she told me she doesn't believe anything on these threads. She'll believe it when Chrysler does a recall. Great customer service over at Chrysler.

Calm down. Getting it out there for others to get on Chrysler.
