Power Window Buttons Falling Apart

Hey Happy Friday everyone!

We have had our jeep 3 years and 28k miles now, noticed today that the rubber on the window buttons is starting to fall apart … what replacement options have you guys done? Is there an upgrade? Is this something that anyone has gotten replaced under warranty?

If you’re still within the 3 year window, it should be covered by the warranty.

If not, it’s not a terrible expensive part.

This would be a covered replacement as long as you are still in your 3yr 36k factory warranty

Yea I’m at like 37 months but I’ll call the dealer since it’s pretty close and under mileage / maybe they can honor it if not, not the end of the world

Great idea, but unfortunately you need the window buttons to be in tact for them to work.

Mine started to come apart on my 2021 JLUR some months ago.

I wonder how difficult it is to swap?

The edges of the levers are deteriorating. I pulled off the edges since they were about to fall off. They still work but feel very wierd.

The product is flawless. Fits perfectly, texture matches original, clickiness is spot on, looks like the original buttons.

The two buttons with the tabs go on the bottom.

No need to take the dash apart. I used plastic trim tools to pry out the old buttons, and pressed the new buttons in.
