Aux buttons turning off?

Hey guys, I'm using Aux 3 to power some rigid fogs. I've noticed after X amount of car starts, the aux turns off. It's not a huge deal because I'll just press the button to turn it back on, but I'm not sure why it's deactivating itself after some period of time on its own. Any ideas?

In the Uconnect, there are settings for each AUX button, is it possible that it is set to a time limit (say power on for 30 minutes)

With this setting I would expect it to always be on unless you push the button again.

I have the same settings for one of my switches and never had that problem. Is it possible you're accidentally hitting the switch without realizing it when putting the Jeep in to gear? Or maybe your lights are tripping the fuse for that switch?

I have an Aux switch that is set-up to turn on every time i start the JL. Randomly, it will not turn on. I see it off and manually turn it on. This happens rarely but it does happen.

And no, I'm not bumping into the button and turning it off accidentally and neither are my passengers.

I take it as an occasional hiccup .. not a big deal.

Yah I confirm the same behavior. Not a huge deal. I was more worried if there was an issue. Like @lookitsadam says it might be a fuse tripping. But my lights are rated for around 3 amps and they’re the only device on the 15 amp aux cable so I have tons of headroom.

I have a mere radar detector connected to it and it rarely / intermittently does not turn on automatically as it should.

Once in a while your Uconnect reboots itself and resets the aux switches too the off position. Mine used to do it pretty often but lately only once a week or so.
