Rear Window Strut Mount Came off window

At the grocery store yesterday, opened the rear glass to load up my stuff. Window came right back down. initially, I thought, okay, strut went bad. Wrong. The driver's side strut mount, which is glued to the glass has come unglued.

I'm at 38,000 miles on a 2019, so just out of warranty.

Any idea what kind of adhesive I can use to re-attach this?

Rearview mirror glue/ repair kit sold at autozone, advance, or pep boys. That should do the trick. Clean the glass up well, mask of the location where the mount attaches, and then go for it.

Assume I should try to get the original adhesive off the mount? It is extremely hard. Maybe grind our sand it off?

That would be best and any residue remaining on the window.
