I'm willing to bet the inside of door to inside of door measurements aren't that different between the 2. I'd be interested in a measurement if you have a chance.
They turned out to be almost exactly the same, ~18.5” across. The Jeep has a little more air inside the panel, but they’re essentially the same.

I'm often occupied, by many things, often at the same time
Gas, brake, clutch...no more pedals necessary.

Dead pedals seem to be a love-hate item. For me, I designed our dead pedal because my ankle started hurting after 30 min of driving with not having anything to rest my foot on. When I designed the pedal, I also had multi-function in mind. The pedal will hold an "Old School" floor dimmer switch or a momentary switch. I use the floor dimmer switch to control my Baja Designs LP6s on the bumper. No more fumbling for a switch while driving and/or taking my eyes/hands off the wheel. It works great for backroad driving!

All aluminum, adjustable and the pedal moves up and down so you can remove the floor mat.

Another vote for the Quadrate dead pedal with rubber pad. Kind of looks OEM. Spun the pad 180 so the Quadratec logo is at the top because I didn’t want to see it. But now I know it’s still there and upside down so IDK. I just don’t like branding if I can avoid it.

I'm with you on branding. I keep my Jeeps pretty much stock, so it has to say Jeep or nothing.

I've been driving manual vehicles for 30 years, and I thought that it would be hard to get used to the (automatic only) 4xe. A dead pedal would be nice, but I have long legs and I do like the opportunity to stretch out. So I haven't decided -- maybe I'll put something there to test it out first.

OP's question. Is the wrangler the only vehicle made without a dead pedal. No, OP it's not. Lots of vehicles out there don't have dead pedals.

OP, there are several good options. My only suggestion would be don't go cheap, a lot of cheap ones won't hold up.

As for the rest, Like, don't like a dead pedal, who cares, OP didn't ask you.

Reading is hard, reread the thread title and tell us again that the OP didn't ask us? "WHY IS THERE NO DEAD PEDAL?" In answer to the OPs question, it's because it's not necessary, some of us absolutely don't want one, and you can easily add one if YOU want to.

Is a Wrangler the only vehicle without a dead pedal??? It's one of the only things I'm not liking about my new Willys.
No room for a dead pedal on my 2023 Rubicon. Already a 3rd pedal in the way...

Do you really need a dead pedal though?

Sure it's a convenience, but it's not a necessity by any stretch!

It would be a little different if they gave you a Jeep without a steering wheel.

Of all the things to complain about, Wranglers have been behind the times for decades now, pretty sure the dead pedal should be the least of your worries.

I get paid to drive Jeeps :)
Whether or not you prefer full size tricks…that’s not for me to judge. 🤓
My previous two vehicles were full sized trucks. When I picked up the Jeep in LA to drive home it felt claustrophobic after about an hour. After the first week it didnt bother me.
My Jeep is massive compared to my Bug. I guess it's all a matter of perspective.

I had never heard of a dead pedal until reading this thread. I'm 5'1.5", 28" inseam. Plenty of room for me stretch out, but my feet are typically planted straight down on the floor when pedals aren't in use. Folks marvel at how I can get in and out, given that the seat is as far forward as it will go and it's raised up pretty high. I love my perch!

Very few new cars lack a dead pedal. Not sure about trucks. But even then there is usually a place on the bulkhead that is dead pedal shaped. Not the Wrangler…nothing there at all. I thought I’d dislike the lack of a dead pedal on my 6MT Jeep, but it’s been a non issue. On my other vehicles I use the dead pedal to brace myself when doing high speed maneuvers. I don’t do high speed maneuvers in my Jeep.
