I sold my 2013 Shelby GT500 convertible to get this Jeep. I honestly thought I was done with Jeeps after my JK. It was GREAT but the wife and I really wanted me to get something that fit me well (even if I needed to modify the seat on day 1), was reliable and had a POWER top. The GT500 was a lot of fun and very comfy once you were in it. I broke my back many years ago so getting in and out of a very low car is agonizing so I found myself not wanting to drive it.

On bad days I needed something where I could push a button and the top went down. Even the Jeep power top really does not do this as the back windows stay put. Then I discovered MyTop, sold the Shelby and ordered this Jeep! LOVE it. Takes 10 seconds to put the top down so I use it all the time and it is just plain fun to drive, not to mention of my 10 previous Jeeps this one is by far the best off road.
Same here, had multiple mustang convertibles, but got sick of the snow. I only wish I discovered mytop back in 2006 then I would have been a life long jeep owner.

This topic is probably a duplicate from a old one but here it go: So why you have own a Jeep ?

Jeep landed in the family because of my grand father. He came back from the other side of the pond with a bunch of war story and I guess he passed the idea to my dad who got a CJ 7. My dad was having two dream car he wanted to own in is life a Jeep and a corvette, he got the jeep first and never got around to the corvette. I guess Jeep is all you need
Learned to drive on that jeep and later on got a JK and now a JL.

So I guess it run in the family :)
I didn't know any better

Manual transmission....and I owned a couple Jeepster Commandos (68,69) when I was in my late teens and early 20s... Trying to relive my youth. 🤪

I also wanted something that would get me up to the ski slopes of WV and back in snowy weather. I assume we'll have a good winter one of these years.

Jeep is a roller-coaster of emotion from joy of driving it to sadness of dealer lol
Definitely a love/hate relationship. They've always been like that...

I had always liked the look of a Jeep. Had driven F150’s for years, but hit my “midlife crisis” as my wife says last summer and started seriously looking at Jeeps. Finally pulled the trigger on a used 2018 that I could buy then sell my paid off truck and still not have a payment. Really enjoying the uniqueness of the Jeep. Taking the top off is great. Have taken it off-roading a few times, but stay on the milder trails. Even did my first ever oil change all by myself. Need a supplemental income now 😜.

My wife and I love them … I had a 2012 2dr jk 6spd sport when we met and since then we’ve had 4 jeeps in the 11 years we’ve been together.
We used to love camping and off-roading in Pa together but now we mostly Rv and just enjoy the jeep on the road.

Our current jeep, her Valentine’s Day gift 3 years ago became our family hauler when we found out she was pregnant a few months later. It’s been a blast with our son!

I wouldn’t want to commute in it or have it be our only option but it sure is the most fun to drive.

The die was cast from an early age...

Even when I was a little boy playing with Tonka Toys, I only played with my trucks and Jeeps and pushed the cars to one side...It didn't take too long before I only got toy trucks and Jeeps as gifts!

Fast forward to adulthood and not counting my first car, a well worn ex-highway patrol cruiser I bought for $500 at auction, I have only owned one car! However I have owned many, many trucks, SUV's and Jeeps! :)

High School??? drive up in a built hemi orange '70 Roadrunner and a bikini babe would be sitting on the bench seat. Key word: "Bench Seat" eating at the Sun drive-in even before the waitress brings out the burgers. Many MoPars later and just looking at the MoPar logo printed in the glass on my Wrangler, makes me glad I bought nothing else, but the most capable 4x4 on the market. I sacrificed performance, for performance. Blame it on MoPar

OK, I got it, yer a damn trust fund kid that could afford a Road Runner in HS. 😉 This peasant started driving the Jeep, worked and bought the 55 Nomad- swapped the 265 for a HP solid lifter 283. Sold it and bought a 66 Nova SS with a 66 only L79, close ratio Muncie, posi HP package, Stolen. A USAF buddy offered me his 69 GTX with a 1 of 500 engine (Ser #HP36?) needed to race as a stock car for the insurance and payments. He got married and couldn’t afford 6mpg, easily 3 in town on min 100 octane. When we lost 100 octane pump gas I couldn’t de tune it enough and traded it for a Harley. Bought my 63 MD, I hadn’t changed- L79 Muncie and all parts swapped or upgraded except the body. Uh- older but “wiser?”, oh hell no, I’m incurable, ordered a new ECM today, juuusst in case.

I went to a Ford dealership to test drive a Bronco. The only one they had on the lot had been sold, but they talked me into test driving a 2020 Wrangler someone had traded in. I didn't end up buying that one, but that absolutely sold me on the Wrangler.
